Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Saginaw

After a long day at work I decided to take my kiddos out for dinner. This location was the closest location to our home so we went to go enjoy the night out. Sad to say our experience was terrible! The server we had got our drinks quickly but after that forget it smh. He took our order and after that it was like we were completely forgotten about. After waiting for well over 30min for our appetizers to be served and stopped MULTIPLE servers walking by we recieved our food cold and stale. The mozzarella sticks were cold so the cheese wasn’t melted (it was basically just breaded cheese sticks) we ordered the spinach artichoke dip with chips also and there was no cheese melted on top & the chips were stale having to dust off the pile of salt thrown on them. I was super frustrated at this point and stopped multiple people walking by… a few of them that showed absolutely no care or concern. When finally getting someone’s attention they got my waiter and I shared my concerns about our food. He said “ok I’ll get you another plate of mozzarella sticks” smh and walked off.. after waiting another LONG period of time for our entrees we were finally served our food and the mozzarella sticks were served with that delivery smh. At this point we were all just hungry and ready to go. Anyway we got our food and again it was cold. We ate a little of our food and my children said “mom let’s just go home, we can microwave it and eat there”… so I agreed and after stopping 3 different people for to go boxes we finally got those and packed our food to go. After going through all this the manager comes to our table and apologizes for our experience and told me to give them another try lol… didn’t offer a compensation for the terrible experience or the cold food… just a sorry and try us again… lol I ended up paying $95 for cold food and a bad experience lol. The brunch burger is my absolute favorite. The only decision is single or double 😉. Do yourself a favor and give a try.

Let me clarify try it anywhere but the Saginaw Texas store. Let me frame this visit for you. We arrived around 8:30 or so. There was a drug addled idiot with the nods sitting outside the door burning his hand up with a cigarette. We go inside and get seated in 10 minutes or so. From the booth they sat us in you could not help but hear this grungy redneck in the bar talking at the top of his lungs and every other word was f this f'ing that, mother f'er, you get it. We asked to be moved and they did move us. We were behind the guy for a while until he turned his chair sideways and we were treated to his voice again. Now where was the manger in all of this? Your guess is as good as mine. Fast forward 45 minutes, yes I get the irony of fast forwarding 45 minute until we got our food. My brunch burger was literally raw. The egg whites were not done and ran over the burger onto the plate, the bacon was uncooked, really it looked like it just came out of the package, the hashbrowns were a greasy pale white mess. We decided at this time that we had enough and it was time to go. Who should magically appear but the manager who claimed he was "in the back" and didn't hear the loudmouth who had been holding forth for the last 45 minutes. He also attempted to justify the burger by a weak statement that the egg should be a little runny. The server then pointed to my plate and said "not like that". They did take the entrees off and acted like that was doing us a favor even though we didn't touch a bite. Needless to say we won't be going back there anytime soon. Horrible and slow service

Our waitress asked and got our drinks (we got a couple of those Blue Hawaiian Long Island Ice Teas) as soon as our hostess sat us down, but we kept waiting for awhile for her to come back to take our food order.

Finally, about 20-plus-something minutes later... she got our order -- we started off with some appetizers (we got the sampler combo). After some time, we got our food. But she didn't even give us some small plates and no extra napkins either. Every time we go to any other Applebee's restaurant (or any restaurant for that matter), they always give us small plates and extra napkins -- it's just a standard procedure, especially for finger food like appetizers.

Eventually (after more waiting)... We got our small plates but instead of giving us extra napkins, they gave us two sets of utensils covered in napkins. I then told the waitress we don't need utensils, and politely asked if "we can just get extra napkins, please?" -- she NEVER came back.

Not once did she drop by to ask us how we were doing, nor did she ask if we needed anything. We didn't even get any water (this should be automatic especially when people are ordering alcoholic beverages). We were going to order steaks after we were done eating our appetizer but we lost our appetite due to the horrible service. We didn't even get to finish our appetizer -- we were so upset with the service that we just wanted to get the heck...
