NO! NO! NO! NO! Do NOT eat here.
I always try to give any restaurant a 2nd, and sometimes 3rd chance. Everyone has an off night every once in a while. However, I have given this place 4 chances, and I still find the same type of service and nasty food. Every time I have gone here, I have to wait an excessively long time just to be seated, whether the place is busy or not. The person seating us typically asked us for our drinks, and the server brings them after roughly 10 minutes. Sadly, the server always drops and dashes, not giving us a chance to put any order in. After another wait, they come to get our food order, which eventually arrives at our table 30 minutes later.
It's a crap shoot on if the food will be hot or cold. I have even had it where my food was cold, my husband's was steaming hot, and our kids food was missing until I could finally get the waitress to acknowledge me after trying to flag her down for 10 minutes. The lasagna tasted like nothing but tomato sauce and a couple noodles. There was no real flavor to it, no spices. The alfredo is pretty much the same thing, except with alfredo sauce that has no spices. My kids love spinach pin wheels, so I tried ordering them once. They came out hard as a rock and burnt. That was the first time ever that my kids didn't touch the spinach pin wheels. I seriously contemplated taking them to my sister for her son's hockey practice, but then I was afraid they would hurt some poor kid.
The manager is useless and the staff is very rude. Last time I went, my best friend, whom went with me, was given the wrong order. After finally flagging down the waitress, I pointed out that she was brought the wrong item. The waitress proceeded to argue with me over what my friend ordered. She was so loud that everyone in the restaurant could hear, which means the manager could also obviously hear, but he never came over to intervene. I told the waitress to pull out her pad of paper that she wrote my order down on. Guess who was right. Now guess who didn't get an apology. All I got was an eye roll, a huff, and her jerking my friend's plate from in front of her causing some of the juice to spill on the table. Another 15 minutes later, my friend got her food. We couldn't eat more then a couple bites cause it was just so gross. We just left everything on the table. No point in bringing any of it home. No one would eat it. We tried flagging the waitress down, so we could get the check. I got tired of waiting, so I calculated up what the bill should be and left some money on the table. Ironically, when she saw us getting up to leave, THEN she decided to come over to give me my bill. I told her the money was on the table and left. As for the prices. WAAAAAY over priced, especially for the lack of quality and service.
If you want a good place to eat Italian, go to Big Joe's in Haslet off 156 or the Olive Garden off Heritage Trace. Both are a bit of a drive for me, but I would rather drive to get good food...
Read moreFirst time and impression: Walked into this place and the AC was broken. I asked if I could order Chicken Franchaise (which is the same thing as chicken picatta without capers) and was charged 18 dollars for that dish alone. It wasn't on the menu, but was told they could make it for me. I asked the man who charged me if it should have been cheaper. He said "the dish that was ordered required an extra egg so that's why it's more expensive, plus it's not on the menu." I could understand if he wanted to charge like 2 dollars more, but it's the same thing as chicken piccatta and doesn't have capers, so I don't understand why he charged so much for a plate that had LESS ingredients, barely any sauce, and a piece of very thinned out chicken with tendons in it over a pile of bare noodles. He could see that I was frustrated and assured me that the food would be better than any Italian place around... he then charged us for another plate of food we didn't order, but, he caught the mistake and had to give us cash back after he charged our card, so I'll give him that, but he then put me on the spot in front of customers and asked me what other italian restaurant I've been to that charges only 12.99$ for chicken franchaise. Not impressed as this was my first visit, but, cmon! Don't argue with a customer.... I didn't want to give it just one star because I'm angry. The other staff was friendly and greeted me with a smile and took my order, but, that guy (owner? Manager?) ruined...
Read moreMy fiancé and I are in Fort Worth on a business trip when our day took a nosedive--flat tire at the worksite, lug nuts refusing to budge, and it was already close to 9pm. Tired, hungry, and feeling defeated, I called to cancel our dinner order, thinking we were just gonna go back to our hotel hungry.
I’m not sure who he was--possibly the owner--but instead of just canceling our order, he offered to bring it to us. And he did. He showed up with our food, made sure we were okay, and even asked if we needed help with the tire. My fiancé had just gotten it off, but the offer alone meant everything. After he left, I sat in the car and kind of teared up. That kind of kindness is rare.
The food was absolutely DELICIOUS. We had the grilled chicken alfredo, chicken parmesan with spaghetti, fried mushrooms, and two Caesar salads. The portions were HUGE. The chicken parmesan was bright and flavorful--the chicken tender, juicy, and perfectly crispy. The alfredo was creamy with beautifully layered flavor. The bread? Pillowy soft, kissed with garlic and parmesan. Every bite was comforting and delicious.
To the kind man who went out of his way to help us: thank you. You turned a rough, frustrating night into something unforgettable. We’ll absolutely be suggest this place to our friends and coworkers, and even order from here again while we're here.
Better than Olive Garden, and we actually felt like...
