If you're looking for the perfect date night restaurant (or any night, really), Spiro's Restaurant is it! The atmosphere is nice and mostly quiet until it gets busy. It has an elegant feel to it but not over the top. We ordered several dishes amongst our party. We got started with the stuffed peppers which I was very excited about since on the menu it said they were stuffed banana peppers but what was brought to the table was just regular stuffed bell peppers. It was good, just disappointed it was not the banana peppers which we love. 6/10 They also brought out plenty of bread and butter which we saved for our meal. Then we moved onto the mains. Dishes we tried were tried by all: The Gryo (9/10) - tender flavorful meat, the tzatziki sauce was creamy and just the right amount of tanginess and the pita bread was so warm, soft and perfect I'd have thought they just made it and perhaps they had. Pasta Corfu (9/10) = This was easily dubbed a table all around favorite - the pomodoro sauce was heavenly with perfectly cooked noodles and a perfect balance of tender harbroiled chicken, peppers, and mushrooms. Absolutely 10/10. We also had the Pasta Pesce (9/10) The cream sauce was rich and decadent, the linguine cooked to perfection with plenty of large shrimp. There was a perfect balance with the red and green peppers, spinach, mushrooms, and onions cooked perfectly and they added so much flavor to this pasta. Blackened Chicken Pasta (7/10) - This pasta was delicious, the blackened chicken could have used a bit more spice but was cooked perfectly and nice and tender. They also include a lot and of course the cream sauce was heavenly. The pasta was cooked a little more al dente than I like in this one - a bit chewier than the other dishes. For dessert we went with The Ultimate Triple-layer Chocolate Cake (8/10). It did not disappoint in its wonderfully rich, chocolate flavor - it was so good and it was huge - we were all able to share it. The only small thing we noticed is that it was dry in places, mostly the outside exposed areas. Even with that, we'd order it again because omg! Our experience was fantastic, the food was delicious and we will...

Spiros always delivers, never disappoints! We stopped by Spiros St. Charles for dinner with family on a cold and dreary January weekday evening. The meal was transformational ... we didn't even notice the cold and dreary part when we left.

We were there early, so we were able to take advantage of the "happy hour" meals ... soup or salad, entree, dessert and a glass of wine for a great price. We ordered, and as usual, we all shared. Saganaki ... the flaming cheese! If you dine at Spiros, and don't start with the saganaki, we should just leave! LOL OMG hot soft brandied cheese flamed tableside ... Deelish!

Even the complimentary bread and butter rocks! :-) I was able to sample the soup of the day, very good, the greek salad was exceptional (the menu warns the olives have pits -- pay attention!). I tried the chicken parm, moussaka and broiled salmon entrees, all fantastic! Side note on a side dish ... the twice baked potato served with the salmon was sublime, a decadent culinary work of art!

Desserts included the baklava, always a hit, and the traditional scoop of vanilla ice cream. What a way to end a great meal! The service was perfect as always, attentive but not intrusive. A wonderful family dinner outing! We'll...

My wife Amber and I have eaten here regularly for years. We had our first date here and come here every chance we get. I can honestly say that we have never once been dissappointed. The food is fantastic. At first I was addicted to the veal piccata, but eventually started ordering something different every time I came in, and I still have never been dissappointed. To this day, I've had probably close to half of the pretty extensive menu, and whether you get pasta, steak, veal, pork, lamb, chicken, or anything else you desire, it won't dissappoint. The appetizers are delicious. My wife and I always get the Athenian Salad and Saganaki to start, and it's the perfect prologue to the exquisite, classic Greek cuisine that follows it up. The drinks are creative and delicious.

The service, like the food, has never dissappointed us. All of the staff there are extremely courteous and professional with great tableside manner. The wait staff is tentative and knowledgable about the food they serve. The pricing, although not cheap, is well worth the experience you are paying for.

I would highly suggest this restaurant to anyone thinking of going there. Thank you, Spiro's, for such a great experience each...

I've got a new favorite Greek restaurant and it's in St. Charles! For the past 10 years I've been going to the CWE or Olympia whenever I wanted delicious, authentic Greek food. I finally managed to come here with my wife and we both loved it. We started with the wonderfully fresh baked table bread and the Bruschetta. Toasted bread, crispy mozarella edges, drizzled balsamic, delightfully different cucumber and tomatoe based topping. The sea bass special was perfectly seasoned and cooked, delicate white flaky perfection. The gyro platter was excellent, too. Slightly toasted pita, tender & flavorful lamb. Finished it off with a scrumptious baklava. The food was stellar and the service was top shelf. Val was super attentive and incredibly polite. If you like Greek food I can't recommend Spiro's highly enough!

Excellent!! From the moment we walked in, till the time we left, our experience was superb! Our waiter (I can't remember his name but he used to be a cook) was phenominal...one of the best we have EVER had! They were so busy, because this was a few days before Christmas, but we never had to wait for anything. We started out with the flaming cheese appetizer, (saganoki) and the dolomides. He even split it all up onto plates for the 2 of us, so we didnt have to do it. As for the food...WOW, it was so delicious! I got the seafood pasta and my fiancée got the veal. We both loved it so much that we ate half of our own meal, and then switched and ate the other half of the others meal, because we couldn't decide which one we liked better. We will definitely be back

Ordered spanakopita and tzatziki for appetizers, which were okay. The tzatziki sauce was very plain, and the spanakopita dough was very wet. Entree of stuffed pork chop was very dry and had way too much salt with the stuffing of feta and bacon. Vegetables looked like they came frozen and were just microwaved before playing, also missing flavor. Entree of Pastichio was also pretty plain, with overdone pasta and the baked bechemel made the dish more like a baked mac N cheese dish with a cornbread like texture. The baklava dessert had way too much honey and very little pastry, and the galactobouriko dessert was a tad too grainy for a custard based dessert. Atmosphere was lovely and service excellent.
