Detroit Style Wings — Restaurant in Saint Clair Shores

Let me start with customer service was wonderful. I called in an order for my husband to pick up and the gentleman who answered was polite and helpful and my husband said they were friendly when he picked food up. I'll go through each item we ordered. Also for reference we live within 5 minutes of the location. I got the honey garlic boneless wings, great flavor and had a nice zip/spice they were crispy and entirely covered in sauce. My husband got the traditional wings with BBQ it had a good flavor, a little sweetness and a hint of smoke great for someone who doesn't want heat they were still crispy and covered entirely in sauce. We ordered boneless teriyaki these were a good traditional teriyaki flavor also still crisp and covered in sauce. Making all the wings we ordered very consistent and delicious. We ordered a small fry, they had a good flavor but were a little soggy as the packaging creates a steam on them. Once we opened them and put them on a plate they cooled a bit and became more crisp. Lastly the mac and cheese. Let me start with I am very hard to please with mac and cheese I find it mostly bland and hardly flavored which is why i always make my own. But...This mac and cheese was DELICIOUS it was flavorful and seasoned very well the noodles were a little over cooked but the taste outweighs that. I would order it again! As the sauce Queen, it's a hard task to pull off all of the sauces. I like my food wet. From the corned beef with extra Russian dressing to Alfredo or spaghetti with extra sauce. My point is Detroit Saucy is not only tossing the sauce, the sauce is delicious!!! We had honey garlic, Saucy-Aki (Teriyaki) and Parm. When I say we were fighting over the last 3 flavored wings, I'm not joking! Each one was very special compared to other restaurants. BWW has had the reigning parm but this one I could drink. The honey garlic has lil kick and is so good! My daughter doesn't like spice at all but she liked this because it's sweet with a hint of spice. And the teriyaki is yummy too. First time visit on Cinco Di Mayo. Let me say first the owners are very polite and outgoing. Like others commenting I too am a foodie. I’m big on service, taste and portions.

May I suggest you go in and get fresh? Soggy chicken only comes from late door dashers.

The boneless chicken was great! ZERO fat to spit out. Unlike some other wing places I’ve had.

Season was fine. I had the BBQ and Jerk. Left me wanting more. Fries were lightly breaded and crispy.
