We went in and ordered carryout yesterday. Once we got home and I finally started eating, the food was not good at all. The rice was quite dry. The meat was dry also and the steak had a funny taste to it. I only ate the little piece I tasted. I fixed a plate of the other food which consisted of chicken, shrimp and scallops and started eating but something was just not right so I threw it in the trash. The food was not good but I couldn't put my finger on why. Finally my husband said the steak didn't taste grilled. I said that's it. The food tasted as if it was not hibachi cooked and I'm sure it wasn't. The food was not fresh and it tasted more like it was Chinese food versus Japanese food and it gave my husband diarrhea. I have nothing against Chinese food, however I paid almost $100 and I don't prefer to spend that much money on Chinese food. I have ordered carryout Japanese food from there numerous times and have also sat on the other side and eaten Chinese food there and I know the difference between the two. We called and complained and was told the food was cooked in the back and was told to come back the next day and ask for Rachel. Of course when we went back today and asked for Rachel, they claimed she wasn't there and the whole story changed about compensation. I didn't want money back, I just wanted my food cooked on the hibachi grill as Japanese food usually is. I asked for another manager and they sent some man out from the back and he was quite rude and condescending. He caused my husband to become upset which is very hard to do, so we left. I called back and asked what that supposedly manager's name was and the lady that answered the phone said she didn't know his name although she was standing at the counter the entire time witnessing and waiting to push the button. I asked how can you not know the manager's name and she said they have five managers. I said I want to know the name of the one that came out a few minutes ago. She claim she didn't know so I asked her to ask the other lady that was working the register. She put me on hold and came back and said his name is Josh. I don't know if that's the truth or not but he needs to be fired and that restaurant needs new management...

I have dined with friends & family at this location for years but after tonight's experience, we will take our money and business elsewhere. I was treating 4 of us for a birthday dinner and was looking forward to a relaxing dinner and a couple of cocktails. I know it is pricey but I have always enjoyed my experiences so money was not an issue. Our first cocktails were perfect but then the haggling over the coupon I brought (and have used many times) began. I agreed to upgrade our meal to include salad. Immediately, the chef came up and started heating the grill and I advised him that we had not even received our salad or soup yet and wanted to enjoy those before our main meal. He went and got the waitress who brought out our soups and salads at the same time yet he continued preparing our meal and we found ourselves rushing through our prep dishes as the rice was hitting our plates before we finished our starters. We were unable to enjoy the whole cooking experience. A couple of us didn't bother to finish our soup as our main course was being dropped on the plates. The whole experience felt so tense and rushed and our chef did not bother to communicate or listen to us about slowing down for us. Nonetheless, I tipped him because I had forgotten that they put a 18% service fee on the bill to cover tips. I was so annoyed at this point and because the meal was not as delicious as usual, we found a bottle of soy sauce and salt and it wasn't until we got home that we realized the chef and waitress never brought us the two sauces that complement the food. While we were still eating, the waitress asked if we wanted carry out boxes (we were one of two families in the place) and we felt further rushed. She was also focused on getting us our bill and we decided to forego our second cocktail and call it a night. We met at the place at 4:00 and I was home before 5:00 PM. I am out $150 but the restaurant got their money and the staff who managed to mess up a birthday dinner also got paid. Nobody seemed to care so we opened the gifts in the parking lot. Turns out that the three of us who had shrimp all ended up with horrible diarrhea when...

This place is HORRIBLE....... First impression are the best impression, this was my first time here, but for certain will be my LAST. We went my family and I for my little Cousin’s birthday 1/26/2018. First our waiter AMY, was the worst waiter I’ve ever encountered. Her attitude was unbelievable, she was taking orders, and when someone would asked if she could give them a min, she would roll her eyes, and move to the next person. When it’s finally got to be my turn I asked her... “are you having a bad day”.... her response was “NO, dose it seem like it”..... my response was, “YES”..... then she preceded to tell me “OH THAT JUST MY PERSONALITY “..... huh??? The I said to her , well you really need to change it. That’s NOT the type of personality you should have working as a waiter/server at any restaurant. She comes back to me and say I’m gonna bring you and egg roll or something, I just feel so bad, I said NO just change your approach, your attitude, and have a little patience with us. There was 13 people sitting at our table, the food was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. One young lady started eating, got sick starting throwing up rite there at the table, we asked our waitress for a garbage can or something, she went and got it, but put it in the corner and walked off. The cook totally kept skipping my cousins food she ended up with nothing but rice and some and veggies, when she ordered a number 10. The waitress had screwed up the order, the at the end he asked her to bring him out 8 shrimp, but everyone else food was done, not to mention 3 people in our party asked for white rice, whelp guess when They got there rice, when we were packing our food in to go boxes. We spoke to the manager, they ended up having to discount everyone’s bills, because there was several complaints for us. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THE PLACE TO NOONE!!!! Save your money, I know they say Benihana is expensive, but WELL...

(Update) I've been here plenty times at this point and the food is not as good and has consistently been too oily for my taste. I had been very curious about this restaurant for years. I have always driven by it but never found the time to step inside and see what it was about. This was my 1st time at a hibachi type restaurant and I was eager to see if it would live up to the hype. It was a great experience for the most part and the food being cooked in front of you was also a benefit. The staff sat our party almost immediately and we were given our drinks and ordered our food relatively quickly. There was quite a time before the actual food arrived to be cooked in front of us though and I do mean it was awhile. Our chef got to work almost immediately and he did mess up a few orders but it was only on a few vegetables. The chef corrected the orders and kept a mental note of people's allergies to peanuts and seafood. The plates here are around an average of $25 and so it can get pricey if you have quite a few people as you can see from the pics. That bill was for 4 entrees and 2 appetizers. This is a definite must visit if you're in the area and wanted some Japanese/Chinese food.

Please follow me, I travel often and leave reviews consistently, honestly, and accurately. My son and I went on a Wednesday at 4 o'clock and ate on the Chinese food side. They were totally understaffed. 1 waiter for the entire place. NO BETTER WAY TO SAY WE DONT APPRECIATE OUR CUSTOMERS, then by understaffing your business. Despite this complete disrespect by management, the lone waiter did a great job. Secondly, more than half of the tables had been taken over by non working staff members. See the pictures. Waterbottles and books on one table, snacks and phones on another table etc...it was trashy The Genetal Taos and Sweet and Sour Chicken were awesome, so well done, I ate myself sick. GREAT JOB KITCHEN CREW ! However the fried rice was aweful. It's had to be refired at least 3 to 4 times. I'll come back on a weekend and update my review. Hopefully they do better on traditionally busier nights

Loved our time here but was disappointed by two things that seemed like flukes. First, the sushi rice was very chewy. I couldn’t get my one bite of salmon/cucumber roll down. Thankfully they took it off our bill but I was really excited for some sushi. The hibachi was excellent and the dinner was perfect for my husband and I to share. Sadly a few minutes in, before we even got our food order in, I felt oil on my hands. As I went to wipe it off with a napkin I saw a splotch of someone else’s dinner on the table, and then I noticed a really sucky stain on my dress from leaning on the table. I’m gonna see if I can get it out but it’s frustrating. We will definitely come again as it was a lovely date night either way, just have to rush to do some laundry now and didn’t get my sushi.
