Rude customer service. I made two orders today using grub hub. The first order was not delivered, the driver made no attempt to call me or ring my apt bell. I have been using grub hub for years with the same address. Every other time they rang my apt bell. They also told the restaurant they delivered the food when they did not and returned to the restaurant without the food. Meaning they stole from me and the restaurant. Grubhub refunded the first order and gave me 50% towards a future order. So I made a second order, and again the driver did not ring my apt bell, or call me. and told the restaurant that they delivered the food. Why would they deliver the food outside on the concrete?
I called the restaurant and spoke to several rude people that attempted to shift the blame to grub hub. On person kept saying over and over and over that the delivery driver delivered the food when they did not. I requested to speak to the manager and I was hung up on. I was hung up on a second time. I spoke to someone and asked to speak to the manager which initially they refused, and then they connected me with a manager that yelled at me and blamed me for driver issues. Worst customer service ever. They restaurant refused to help in anyway, and said they didn't even know how the process with grub hub worked, or how to contact anyone. Read moreThe amount of food that was given was not exactly equal to the amount of money spent. The bubble tea was too sweet and too frozen. Apparently there aren’t options to make it a milk bubble tea, or not a slushy type drink with frozen boba (tapioca pearls). Pad Thai left much to be desired and though I asked for chicken, even the chicken was dry. I used the lemon wedge to add moisture but by the time I put the wedge down, my plate was still dry.
Another thing is that the “back door” looks like it could be the front. Walked in through the back and immediately thought I would walk into the kitchen or their stock room. It would have been nice to have a sign to give guidance for First Timers. Perhaps they will implement that.
The inside of the restaurant was welcoming and a nice setting. The ambiance, soft lighting, rich colors, and seating was pleasant. I would recommend only for the sitting, but the prices to portion sizes are a bit much. There is too much competition with larger, quality, portions with options to ignore that and continue this way. For lack of options, for small portions that cost more than I would like to pay, for confusion at entry, and for being dissatisfied with the entire meals taste, I have removed stars. Read moreI always have great costumer service at this location and have never had to wait too long for my pick up. In recent months I have noticed a decline in food quality/consistency. My family orders the same dish made vegan and every time it comes out with a different flavor, color, and consistency. We keep going back because when it’s good it’s good! But there’s always a few duds in between. I have addressed this issue once with the restaurant and they were prompt to replace the meal but it still wasn’t right. Been ordering at this location for the past two years and before that the Detroit location. I don’t know what’s changed but it’s a guessing game each time I order how the food will come out!
Update 7/23 - Front girls are very understanding but elderly lady is rude! Paid extra as always for a vegan meal. Came home it had egg in it. Call the next day because my order was picked up right before close and the best she offers is 15% the dish next time. All the years I’ve come here and they’ll lose a customer over a $15 meal.
