Travis Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Saint Clair Shores

Usually I would rate it much better, but I had a brand new waitress. I go in at least a couple times a month. I asked the girl for just a simple bowl of soup and a glass of warm water cause I can't have ice. I told her a tall cup with half cold water and half of the tea water, which I meant the water you would make tea with, and everybody else that I've ever had as a waitress. Has always did half-and-half cold and hot water, this girl comes back with a coffee cup of Hot water and a cup of ice water. I said, no, that's not what I meant. I said I asked for warm water The ice defeats the purpose of asking for warm water. Can you please take that back? And she rolled her eyes at me. And ask me if I was gonna order anything else? I said no thank you. And she never came back to my table, not even with a bill.. I was not even going to leave a tip up until I got to the. Register, I talked to the other girl and said, where was my waitress? And says she's doing things in the back, and I said she never even came back to my table to see how I was doing, and then I told her about her rolling her eyes at me. And I said i've never seen her before, and she apologized for her, and I said you don't have to. The cashier was also new to me. As well, and she says, we all share tips, and that really hurts me being at the. Register & the counter because of her poor service and she apologized again. I says, well, just for your sake. I'm going to put at least a dollar in this tip chair, and she said, thank you. But if this girl ever is my waitress again, believe me, I'll ask for somebody else. Nine mile & greater mack in saint clair shores, is usually really good . I always eat there after my doctor appointments, and that's what I told the counter girl. She's lucky I didn't take her picture and put her on Facebook. I've done it before at a different restaurant and posted it for 2...

Travis has always been great when I went there in the past. But, my last visit there was an entirely different story. I was so disappointed overall. At least 6 or 8 fishflies had made their way into the restaurant along with several mosquitoes. A fishfly flew around and landed in my water.....so gross! But, the worst thing actually happened when my fiance was going to eat his coleslaw and spotted a white, plastic square tag, like the kind that it used to close a loaf of bread or a bag of buns in it! All the waitress said is"oh, that was in there, I m sorry", and "do you some fresh cole slaw, some soup, or a salad". My fiance was so upset about what happened that understandably, he said that he didn't want any of those choices, he just wanted his dinner. I m very happy and relieved that he didn't choke on that plastic bread tag. The employees who make and prepare the food are 100 percent responsible for making sure that only cole slaw ends up in the bowl, no plastic tags. That is really so dangerous and irresponsible! I felt so badly for him. It really is unfortunate and unpleasant to have a bad experience at a restaurant that used to be so tasty and enjoyable to visit. I really hope that this is a wake up call to all employees of travis, especially those that bring out the cole slaw.....please, please make sure that you check and see that there s only coleslaw in the bowl (or whatever kind of food), not bread tags or other non food items! So, because of this visit, my fiance and I will not be returning to Travis for quite a long time. And, by the way, the waitress did not offer to take any money off our bill either for the whole cole...

I don't know how this is popular. I ordered an omelette and it tasted like craft cheese and refrigerator eggs. Couldn't use condiment bottles due to the amount of dust built up on bottles, it was dirty, salad wasn't washed properly (dirt), table wasn't bussed. I could excuse the food, but dust build up bottles? That's just not washing your bottles out regularly or they're not used and are allowed to sit. Tastes like white people with covid cooked it. Hard pass.

If you want a fast bite and just to fill your stomach give it a try. I'm a big lady and anyone who knows me knows I finish a plate. Did not even want to. Also the coke tasted of something like citrus so didn't drink it.

4 stars for the lady waiting on us, because she was really nice and patient with us, but hard pass on willing coming back. I used to be an actual barista seeing dirty bottles really turned me off to it. Silverware might have been dirty or old couldn't tell. Ate with the spoon that was given with one of my sides, because it looked cleaner.

Sad whoever cooked my food knows how to cook. Just the atmosphere and the quality of food given was not their best. My significant other is Mexican and knows how to throw down. I can tell if someone can cook even if the food isn't very good. Might be a worker that can do well, but is cooking what they have...
