We went out for dinner, hoping to find a spot that wasn’t just another chain steakhouse with the same tired menu and not overly fancy. Thankfully, we stumbled upon Don Diego in Saint Cloud, and it was exactly what we were looking for! The vibe is relaxed and welcoming; no need to dress to the nines to enjoy a fantastic meal. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the food is fresh and bursting with flavor. You can tell the chef truly knows how to work magic with seasonings, making every bite unforgettable. I had the Steak Milanesa along with Argentinian Sausage and their incredible chimichurri — every bite was full of flavor. My husband had the Short Ribs, which were tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. Natalia, made the night even better. Warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, she made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. And whatever you do, don’t skip dessert, all made in-house! We tried the Tres Leches, a heavenly, soaked cake with the perfect balance of sweetness. It’s so good you’ll want to take a piece home, and we did!.😋 With incredible food, generous portions, and genuine hospitality, Don Diego is a true hidden gem we’ll be returning to...
Read moreNew restaurant alert!! Something different! Tried out this little Argentinian restaurant this weekend. Small and quaint, good service, good tasting food. If you’re looking for a lot of cocktails, this place isn’t it. But if you want some good comfort food, you’re at the right place. Beverages are mostly soft drinks and beer. They do serve Margaritas and Sangria only. I had a loaded Margarita, other wise known as The Bulldog Margarita. It was pretty good. Hubs had a glass of red wine. We didn’t order apps, but our meals were tasty and filling. The skirt steak with mashed potatoes and salad were really good. We also ordered the “On Horseback”. You can choose chicken or steak for your meat. I chose the steak with the rice and beans and oh so good. On top of the steak were 2 nicely cooked eggs. It was so filling, I had to take some to go. Overall a great experience and the bill was under $100 for both of us which is not the norm as of lately....
Read moreOur favorite Mexican restaurant Jalapeños had recently transitioned to Don Diego Argentinian Steak House. It’s still the same great family, same clean restaurant, same great service and the food is delicious. They are also still located in the same plaza. Tonight I had the Milanesa Cheddar Chicken and it was so yummy. Breaded pounded chicken with melted cheddar, bacon and fried eggs on top. The portion of chicken was almost as big as the plate layered on top of a bed of fries. My husband had the Lomito, a steak sandwich again as big as his plate which not only looked good but he said it tasted great. So both our leftover meals were packed up for 2nd meals tomorrow. Looking forward to trying the other meals on the menu. Definitely...
