We bought a computer/printer/programs/service warranties/products yesterday, however when we went to pick it up at least 4 staff members walked by us including the manager, while we sat at the front counter never being acknowledged, not even a hello. The manager who was hanging back packs, Finally comes over and offers assistance. We paid them to set up our new touch screen computer however when we got it home it was not touch screen. I know what your thinking why didn't you know that. Let me explain the floor model was not working, nor are we really knowledgeable about computers. We took our salesman's word. We got it home and it was NOT TOUCH SCREEN. I called the store. The response i got was sorry , i thought it was.... You don't sell someone an automatic car and it's really a standard. As pleased as I was originally with our salesman who appeared to be very knowledgeable, I will be returning this product for a full refund. Then taking my business elsewhere. I was very disappointed. My old computer that all the data was taken from, i gave away and now must drive 1hr and 45 one way to pick it up in order to have the data transferred again to the new computer I will be buying tomorrow. This alone is a hassle. My husband and i both seen the salesman actually attempt to utilize the touch the screen when we picked it up and it didn't work. We both just thought it had something to do with settings. As knowledgeable as he appears to be and after setting up and transferring all the data, It is just hard to believe he didn't know it wasn't a touch screen before we left the store... Lesson...
Read moreNeeded a new office chair at work, so we went to Staples. Ive bought all of the other chairs for our desks here so didnt think about going anywhere else. They have some make-shift anti-fraud thing in the back by the chairs so everyone with appointments for that were sitting in the chairs on the floor to be sold. We had to ask someone if they wouldnt mind getting up so I could try the chair I wanted to buy before I bought it, which was uncomfortable because then that person just stood there and watched us as we tried out this chair, as if we took HIS chair from him. From being sat in so much, the floor chairs were filthy so I wanted to ask for a new one from the back or order one but I could not find any associate anywhere around the store to help. I walked up and waited in line to ask for assistance, and the cashier was very rude and treated me as if I were an annoyance walking up to her register to ask for help. She was an older woman, but I didnt catch her name, I think she had grayish hair. I asked if there was anyone who could help me with a chair purchase. She rudely said I need to go back and wait, and it felt like she was just shooing me away from her register. There was no one else in line behind me by the way but she said everyone was busy. I went back to the chair area but no one came, so I left. I was going to buy a $300.00 office chair, but I left and bought it on Amazon. I had some other office supplies I needed to get also, but if no one could be bothered to help a customer, then I will just get everything...
Read moreWill not be returning to this location, for some reason the employees could not fathom that I wanted to return something from Amazon and purchase something from their store.
I was well aware that there were two different lines and I was standing in the appropriate line for what I wanted to complete which was an Amazon return. It was my intention once my return was complete to go to the register and purchase the ink that I was holding, but for some reason, no one could seem to understand this, I was asked by no less than three employees if I was standing in the right line. The Amazon return line was horribly long, which is typical and the woman in front of the line had a screaming child and three other children wandering about the store unsupervised who she was continually yelling at to come back to where she was.
Once my return was complete and I went to check out I had to wait for someone to come to the register because they did not have a cashier there. I was given some sort of coupon when I completed my return the person checking me out, said that I had to download the Staples app and become a member to use it, which I did not want to bother with. They rang me up. I went to pay my card was declined. At this point I decided that it was not worth the hassle. I had already been in the store entirely too long and left without my purchase. Upon calling my bank, it seems that there was an issue with the computer systems at Staples and not my...
