Very good public course with a driving range. Very good pricing depending on the time of year and day of the week. Front nine has been rebuilt (maybe more than once!) following flooding and the rebuilding of Dixie Dr. so the front nine is now on both sides of Dixie. Somewhat long walk from the 4th green to 5th tee and back from the 8th green to the 9th tee. Front nine mostly pretty flat with water in play on several holes. Back 9 has a completely different feel with some fairly significant elevation changes and water in play on at least 2 holes. Bunkers, tees and greens usually seem to be in excellent condition. Carts available. Additional charge for use of the range. My experience is play can edge towards the slow range, especially on week-ends and holiday periods sometimes reaching 4hr 30 min. The course is in a good location. Beginning in an open and sunny layout and ending weaving through some beautiful houses in the hills. The fear of hitting a window is real! Overall it was a good experience and nothing stands out except for one thing that mattered the most to me personally. I am not a golfer, but I was not about to pass up an opportunity and invitation to spend some time with my family. I was not aware that there was a dress code (a strange concept to have one anyways) and I showed up in a tank top and basketball shorts. Tried to hit balls at the range two days in a row in the early afternoon, both times they said there are no balls left and the range is full of balls, we asked if we can go pick them up they said no. Asked if we can hit our own balls, they said no. They should post hours so we don’t waste our time coming out.

Right after we left the range, still in the car an older guy came and grabbed a bunch of balls from the range, put them in a bucket and started hitting. Rob kicked us out just to watch that guy do the same thing and he had no problem with it. Rob walked right past him.

We were respectful when we asked. He said we would be stealing if we did that.
