Sales person was pushy, but nice and helpful. I wasnât looking to buy that specific day. Which I told our sales person. Then they ended up running my credit 7 different times. AFTER I told them to only run one financial institution, which was the institution that holds my current loan. If it didnât work today I would be back in October to buy a car with better credit. I only signed that they could run my credit on that stipulation alone. Running my credit at ONE financial institution. They agreed they would only try once. I am currently working on repairing my credit, after pregnancy, COVID and a domestic abuse situation. We made sure to tell them several times, that if my current financial institution wouldnât take on the loan to not worry about it, but we will be back. They proceeded to run my credit over and over again, without permission, adding 7 HARD INQUIRIES, making it impossible for me to continue building my credit up. 7 is an outrageous amount on its own. Especially because after October I wouldâve had zero hard inquiries on my credit. Not only did they continue to run my credit but they gave us a rough estimate for a payment based on my credit ($600-650/a month.) they came back with an offer after repeatedly running my credit and said âwell the payment is a little more.â $850/a month! A little more? $250 is a lot more. Especially for the car I was interested in buying. This wasnât a Camero or a Corvette. Complete Bait and Switch. They kept us there for 4-5 hours just to trash my credit and expect me to pay $850/a month for a used car. When I contacted them regarding my issue. They refused to remove any of the hard inquiries and the financial guy was rude and tried to just say âwell you signed.â âWell I wouldnât have signed if you didnât agree to only try once.â Absolutely no remorse. No cares that they are affecting other people, unless they get âthe sale.â Ridiculous. Wouldnât recommend to anyone. Which is sad because I bought my first car from them in 2018 and loved their business then. They have refused to offer any kind or remorse or any kind of...
Read moreI sent the following to the dealership on February 15, 2021 and have not had a response:
Dear Dealership:
I just purchased a new Suburban from your dealership. Mr. Chris Gallion was my salesperson. He was accommodating and worked around my busy schedule.
Unfortunately there are several issues that need addressed. After purchasing the vehicle I rushed to my sonâs baseball game. After parking, I dropped a battery between the driverâs seat and center console. I put my hand under the seat and began to feel for the battery. I ended up with a nasty laceration.
I pulled my hand from under the seat and a shard of broken glass from the vehicleâs windows was sticking in my hand. Upon further inspection of the vehicle I found several glass shards under the driverâs seat. There was also broken glass in the center console of the vehicle. The driverâs side rear window of the vehicle will only roll down about 1/3 of the way and the passenger driverâs side door will not open from either the interior or exterior. In short, this ânewâ vehicle had sustained significant damage before it was sold.
Will you please provide the following:
Detail any and all damages and repairs done to this vehicle prior to sale; and
Explain why these damages and repairs were not disclosed.
Although an attorney by profession I have never been involved in a lawsuit related to a personal business transaction. I would like to believe this is because I have chosen to deal only with reputable individuals and companies, and that I am reasonable and easy to work with. I am concerned with the lack of candor shown by your dealership. Had I known there was a possibility of broken glass in the vehicle I may have been able to avoid a nasty cut by not blindly reaching under the seat looking for a dropped battery.
Please answer the questions above and propose how you would like to resolve this issue. Although troubled by the material non- disclosure, I also believe it is appropriate to give an opportunity to make it right.
Thank you for your...
Read moreHorrible customer service. I took my van in for a tire rotation and alignment; I made an appointment specifically for those things. I got there and they said that they couldn't do the alignment because it would take too long, but that I could leave it there until the next day. The trouble was, I drove from about 45 minute away and they wouldn't shuttle out that far. So, I had to get someone to pick me up, take me home (45 minutes away), and then get someone to bring me back.
They apparently did the rotation and then checked the alignment system and determined that I needed about 2k of repairs to the alignment system. Maybe that's true - maybe not - I'm taking my van somewhere else for a 2nd opinion. They also said something like, "You have a power steering leak, but we're not worried about that right now. Let's get your alignment situation fixed." I opted out of the alignment fix and took my vehicle home.
After all this, they still charged me what I think was almost exactly how much it would have cost if they actually had done the alignment (without the major repairs). I think they offered me maybe $100 off of the service cost if I came back to do the full repair.
I took the van to Vegas for a family vacation and got back about a week after my appointment. After returning home, I was taking my van somewhere when it started making a loud noise. Turns out my power steering fluid was pretty much empty. That seems like a much bigger deal and leak than, "We're not worried about that right now." So, then I had to go get power steering fluid. That situation seems to be okay now, and hopefully the fluid I used will actually stop the leak (it's supposedly supposed to - but I don't know where the leak is or the nature of it). But again, I'm taking my vehicle somewhere else to get the power steering system and alignment checked.
I've had a decent experience with Stephen Wade Toyota, but I don't plan on going back to Stephen...
