Sure, it's the best doughnuts in town, sure they've been with us for years upon years, but is that really what you're there for? Okay, that's probably a resounding "YES!" But it's always been a big staple in my family that the reason we go back to a place is based mostly on the experience and staff. Gold-N-Glaze is a wonderful little small-town pastry shop in the "oldies" category of St Joe, and they have more to thank than the doughnuts; it's exquisitely clean while maintaining that old-fashioned vibe that you look for in a little podunk town like this. And the staff: where do I begin? So nice and engaging, and fast, too! Definitely going to be seeing a lot more of me there lately!

Ā Ā Ā Read moreGrabbed two donuts before heading out of town for a meeting. The first donut I ate was slightly underdone, but not too terrible. The second donut, however, was straight batter. The outside layer was cooked, but a good portion of the donut was still semi-liquid, stretchy dough. I bit into it and immediately spit it out. I don't know if you have ever taken a bite out of a raw donut, but it was extremely unpleasant. Definitely wont be coming back; I'll probably stay away from donuts for a bit now all together.
