This was my second time booking and going out to the Axe Factor. Both experiences have been fantastic. Our first time out was during the Thanksgiving break with family. We had grandparents in their 70’s to middle school age kids. Everyone had a blast.
I wanted to book an 8th grade celebration for my daughter’s class, and they could not have had a better time! Many adults were a little nervous because we are throwing axes with a bunch of young teens. 🤪 But I knew from our previous family experience at The Axe Factor how this company operates. They don’t just hand you axes and tell you to go for it. An employee gives your group a safety talk and throwing lessons. They then watch and guide each thrower during a practice round.
Another concern was, would this be an activity that the kids would really engage in? I kind of expected a small group to get bored and maybe hang out at the snack and drink table we had set up. (Yes, they let you bring in drinks and food!) But every kid LOVED the axe throwing and stayed engaged the whole hour we had booked. (What is nice is they also have corn hole sets available too if someone gets bored with throwing, but again they never stopped throwing axes.)
Thank you to The Axe Factor for the teen win!!! It’s so hard to find a place that has the cool factor for teenagers. You guys have nailed it! The glow in the dark axe throwing room was incredible and your staff could not have been...
Read moreThis weekend we attended a group outing at The Axe Factor (in St Joseph, MO). I've recently moved back to SJ, MO after attending college here 20+ years ago. One of the issues can be finding fun & different things to do.
The Axe Factor delivers! It was my first time throwing an axe & the experience was excellent! Matt W. was a great instructor & gave clear & easy to following instructions. The facility was in great shape and very rustic (see photos). I was surprised at how easy to pick up & throw the axe.
This is a "must visit" in SJ, MO. I'll definitely be back! It's a great spot for a date night. It's great to see locals building businesses and activities...
Read moreWent here for the first time. To actually find the entrance was a little difficult, but once we did and we got inside everyone was super nice. We didn't have a reservation but they were able to get us in. Very knowledgeable about what they were doing and what they were teaching people. I only gave 4 stars because I would have liked to have seen where you could pay an upgrade fee of a couple of dollars and got to use a wall of weapons ranging from spears to ninja stars and even a shovel. Overall though with what they have and price I, will be going back. Me and my buddies did he a really good time while here. Keep up...
