So we stopped in last night for dinner. I had a Peach Margarita & it came with no alcohol so they brought a shot & I had to mix it which made it a not so frozen Margarita plus did not taste a hint of Peach. Husband a Dr. Pepper it came in a 20oz bottle so oh well if you need a refill, you must buy another.
Salsa & caso was good but a small bowl of chips & had to ask for more & by the time we received them the caso had gotten cold & thick.
As all our trips to other mexican restaurants, I had the Fiesta(mixed) Fajitas. They had a very bad taste I eat 2 bites before even rolling one up. That was the end of that $17 dish.
My husband had a barrito. It came out flat to the plate, basically no filling in it. He took 2 bites & almost threw up. He said that ain't beef it doesn't taste right at all. So I tasted his & it tasted just like mine, well that was that $9 meal.
So we talk to the waiter and explained the situation. He in turn said, he could not remove it because he could not take out of the computer & his boss would see it as he was stealing food. I asked for him to put him on phone & was told they don't have his number. There was no one else to tend to my issues available. In return he charged us for the sides of rice & beans that was posed to come with the meal. The bill was $47. For what we eat 2 plates of rice & beans, one caso/chips & salsa & our drinks. Come on this was a straight up con deal. BS, never again. Wish I would of thought to get pictures for yall.
The health board needs to go there. Called to speak to owner & they not sure if is...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would. I'm not sure why this place has good reviews. I ordered the carnitas burrito and I received a flour tortilla that felt like it was boiled and gummy. The pork was chopped pork like what you would get in a stew in a can..... diced pieces. Mexican carnitas is either pulled pork or large chunks of pork..not cubed pieces. On top of it, the burrito was covered in green sauce inside and out.. over priced for the quality..and not authentic mexican
Also the server gave a half filled basket of store brought chips and salsa..very stingy on both, even though the plates were over priced for the quality.
I grew up in Southern California and the positive reviews are either from friends and family, or people who have no idea what authentic mexican food taste like. We met another couple who had just left the place and currently reside in LA (fellow truckers) and they agreed, the food sucks!!
What we also realized when walking away, the resturant's meat locker is behind the resturant facing the truck stop and it has trash cans next to it, not sanitary looking.
when I say keep driving and never ever stop...
Read moreWhen you arrive you are seated right away and given tortilla chips and salsa from the taste I assume the salsa and the chips are store bought not made in house. I ordered their chicken tortilla soup and the chicken chimichanga combination #16 I received the soup first and I have to say their soup is amazing the perfect balance of ingredients and the chicken broth tastes like it's cooked in house! The chimichanga was still crispy when I got it so very fresh food the beans and rice that come with the order we're a perfect temperature BUT the beans were a little too over seasoned with salt and cheese for my taste, the rice was perfect. The atmosphere was authentic good decorations and quiet Spanish music playing also heard (but didn't see) children quietly giggling and playing somewhere. The service was excellent they clear plates and refill drinks in a timely manner. All in all I would and will eat here again good service good food it was a good overall experience. The only reason I'm giving this place 4 stars is the chips and salsa and the slightly over seasoned beans. I would recommend to visit...
