My 82yr old grandma wanted to go out to Waffle House at 2am, like she had her heart set on it. It's cold and dark outside, but the Nana has a dream. So, we picked up my 16yr old Nephew, enjoying Christmas break and went to Waffle House. First of all, service was 11/10. It was the middle of the night and there were two very caring and mindful gentlemen working the business. The man behind the counter was true blue leadership material. He made the experience extra special for my grandma. We played music on the jukebox and he also played his grandma's favorite song. It was beautiful and so kind of him for sharing. We were vibing! The service was impeccable, man of the hour. Surprisingly, he's single! Wow, what a catch! So nice, tall, dark and handsome, ladies get on that one before someone else does. 💜 We weren't in a hurry and the man on the stove was busy. He didn't dissappoint. He took the time to carefully prepare literally everything, even going so far as to use only clean oil. I mean, that's expected, but that he cared about us and the food, to the most minor detail really says a lot about his character. It's not about the money, or the food, or the service.. It was just so pleasant to be with people that actually care about you. Everyone was having a great time and it showed in the food, service, and the tip. I hope the feeling shines through in this review and inspires other people to pack Waffle House some time between 2-3:30am. You will love it! 😻🥳🕰 Show those two men behind the counter some love. They deserve it. God has a chosen few. Good times... Too good for this world...
Read moreWe came in sat night just before midnight... there were 2 other tables ahead of us... the waitress told us it would be a short wait to be able to submit the order. It actually took an hour for us to get food. The waitress Octavia was too busy showing photos on her phone to the staff to efficiently wait on tables. She also appeared to be distracting the other staff. Our food sat for 5 minutes after being finished. The kitchen had to yell for her several times. It was cold when it got to the table. I was given dirty utensils at the start. I spent almost the entire visit apologizing to my boyfriend for stopping here. Why is there a pay to play jukebox at a diner? The music another patron selected was awful. If no one pays for music it's awkward silence.
I don't understand how a diner serving easy items could have this slow of service. We never even received a table touch. Just Octavia walking to the table silently placing the check and walking away. We watched both tables finish eating before our food even arrived.
For a diner with 6 tables the service here is...
Read moreOur waitress (Sarah) was by far the most disrespectful waitress I have ever encountered! First off I'll start with the fact that when she was taking our tables order she took my fiance's order and then she asked him if it will be all together. He said no we'd be on one and that the other guy would be on a separate order. After taking my fiance's order she then proceeds to skip over me and take the other guys order that was on a separate ticket and after getting his order she walked away and didn't even ask me if I wanted anything to drink or eat even though that was the whole reason we were all there. Then the entire time we were there she literally acted like he was a single man in there by himself. So my tip for her is that if you want a better tip you should probably make sure that you're respectful to both partners. She even walked up to my fiance from across the restaurant stared him in his eyes and was like I just love your laugh it sounds like a stoner laugh! So inappropriate! Sadly this is our local waffle house that we like to go to and we will...
