My family (group of 5) went in today to celebrate my cousin’s birthday. When we arrived, the restaurant was virtually empty. Waitress came to take our drink orders. She brought everyone’s except my uncle’s. I could tell she was new. We reminded her that she’d forgotten his tea and she went to retrieve it. She came back and took our order. It went downhill from this point! After waiting about 15 minutes, a young lady comes out with parts of my food and part of my cousins food. She goes back then comes back out with my cousin’s food. She goes back and comes back out with my other cousin’s food. (About 3-5 minutes in between each food run). We start nibbling on our food while waiting for my aunt and uncle’s plates to come. And we waited, and we waited, and we waited, and we waited. Meanwhile, no one returns to see if we needed refills or if we had everything. (There are plates going out to other tables though) After about 30 minutes, the lady that brought the food walked by and I stopped her telling her that all of the food didn’t come. She looks shocked and said she’d be back, she never came back! Meanwhile I’m watching her chuckle and giggle with people in the galley but never came back out to say what happened or why. Eventually she came out with my uncles food. At this point, we’re done eating and my uncle has just received his food. After waiting another 15 minutes or so, I went to where she was and asked for the manager. She stuttered and said she’s in charge. I told her it was very unprofessional that she failed to come back and update us. She cut me off telling me she’s too busy to listen and has to focus on getting food outside (apparently everyone else’s and not ours) we waited and waited and waited. Our original waitress came over and brought the sweet tea refill that was requested 30-45 minutes prior. I informed her that we were still waiting on food and their lack of communication was unbelievable. Still, no one brings my aunts food. After 10 more minutes, we get a plate but it wasn’t was my aunt ordered. They just threw together a plate of food. By this point, we are all livid. I spoke with someone else who proceeded to tell us we now have the food and either we eat it or not. I will NEVER return to this establishment and will be contacting the General Manager this week. No management on site, and staff with no leadership...
Read moreGonna preface this a little bit. I’m giving 5 stars because of my love for Brasa, but I feel the need to call a few things into question.
I’m a huge fan of Brasa, I eat it weekly (sometimes twice!) for years now. They’re a very reliable delivery staple in our house too because everything shows up hot, fresh, tasty and travels pretty well for most of the items!
That said, there’s some consistency issues at this location. The last few weeks, my go-to chicken salad sandwich has had an insane variance of how much is on the sandwich, one time they slathered guacamole on it out of nowhere, another time it was cut, several times, it’s been incredibly dry with bread that leans more stale. Perhaps the most prevalent issue in the last few weeks has been the composition of the chicken salad — there seems to be larger pieces of chicken fat or skin that really make the chewing experience unpleasant and almost gag-worthy, which is strange, because I can’t ever recall these textures in the mix before. If they’ve changed the recipe, I have to say, it’s for the worst. I’m gonna be taking a break from this meal and will try again at a later date to see if anything has changed.
A couple of other nitpicks:
Dessert pricing is way off. $4.50 for 4 spoonfuls of pudding is wild. It’s delicious, but the value isn’t there. I have frequently received the wrong items, which usually ends up being a tasty surprise, but deflating when you’re looking for something specific. Improved order accuracy would be great!
Don’t let this review deter you from going to Brasa as they’re truly one of the best local chains we have here in MN and we should be showing up to support them for the quality and flavor they provide to the community. I’m just hoping these issues are...
Read moreBrasa catered my wedding a few weeks ago and I still can’t stop thinking about how phenomenal the food was!! I don’t think I’ve ever eaten food at a wedding and thought, “wow! That was so delicious! I would actually order tf out of this meal outside of this event” - until I had Brasa at mine. My guests all raved about how good it was!!
Not to mention the catering team which is somehow even better than the food! I hit a snafu when my wedding was a week away. We ordered a service that wasn’t compatible with the venue. My plans were crushed. My guests would starve and probably get too drunk and resent my marriage the next day while trying to recover. With this short window of time to try to scramble to remedy the issue - Brasa came through for us. The manager, Heather, offered to come work my wedding which was on a very popular weekend for weddings and they were booked solid. She offered her service and SAVED THE DAY.
The catering team is FULL service. They’re so efficient and attentive - every detail of hosting was fine tuned. Not to mention how friendly and accommodating they were during the wedding!!!
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Brasa’s catering - if you’re shopping around for caterers - please stop now because this is seriously the #1 option and you (or your guests) will NOT be...
