Gianni’s NY Pizza! So I was in the area and had a craving for a good Chicken Parm grinders. So I Googled Chicken Parmigiana grinder near me! BAM! This place popped up with a 4.5 star! Yay right? Wrong..it’s not a 4.5 not even close! Plenty of parking and the establishment inside is filthy unclean. We had to ask for towels to at least clean a table. We were told one table was clean but when we sat down it was dirty. Food grease and food crumbs everywhere. The lady behind the counter was not friendly, not wearing a name tag, attitude was choppy! We ordered two pizza slices and two one size grinder according to Gianni’s NY Pizza attitude lady, really? No small, medium or large grinders? Wow! With two sodas. Soda machine is broken with a hand made sign temp out? What does that even mean? Pizza slices were ok nothing great. Tasted just like a Walmart frozen pizza! Chicken Parmigiana was bland. No taste bread was good, but if they invest in good quality Italian tomato sauce that grinder would be the bomb! Over all experience was lacking service, good friendly professional manners and more taste tot he food by adding quality to it. Prices were high $36.00 for two pizza slices, two sodas and two small grinders. Would I comeback here? No!...
Read moreWe frequent Giannis as it is in our neighborhood and has great food. We visited a few weeks ago and had the Grandmas pizza and wings and again thoroughly enjoyed it. The one thing we took serious note of that night was the amazing customer service we received from Laura. We noticed that had it not been for this young lady the front end of the restaurant would have fallen apart! Sadly we noticed no support or “team-work” from her fellow employees. She was answering phones, taking orders, delivering meals to patrons and conversing with guests. In spite of it all, Laura carried on in a very professional, efficient and positive manner, maintained a smile and delivered SUPERIOR customer service. We have noticed on previous occasions that this young lady always manages to take our dining experience to a higher level with just her presence but this particular night she deserved extra kudos for appearing to successfully run a one-man show. I’m not sure if she’s a manager, family member of owners or simply an employee. However, either way, this young lady deserves some serious recognition and a bonus of some kind for maintaining the great reputation of Giannis and treating this place as if it...
Read moreIf you’re in St. Pete and craving pizza that actually hits the spot, Gianni’s Pizza is the place. I went in expecting “good” pizza, but what I got was honestly next-level delicious. The crust has that perfect crunch when you bite in, but it’s soft and chewy inside — basically the best of both worlds. The sauce is bold and flavorful, not too sweet, not too tangy, just right. And the cheese? Melted, gooey perfection that stretches in all the ways pizza should.
What I really love is how generous they are with toppings. Every slice feels hearty and satisfying, like it was built for true pizza lovers. Pair that with friendly service and a cozy, welcoming vibe, and it’s clear why people keep coming back. Gianni’s isn’t trying to be overly fancy or gimmicky — they just make seriously good pizza, and they do it consistently. Whether you’re grabbing a quick slice, sitting down with friends, or taking a box home for movie night, you won’t be disappointed.
In a city full of pizza spots, Gianni’s stands out as one of the best. If you love pizza that’s tasty, fresh, and made with care — this...
