Hard to find but well worth it. Absolutely terrific comfort food and there's a wide variety of it, from meatloaf to lobster tails. We shared a combination fried basket of lobster tails and shrimp with a large order of french fries, while adding a couple sides - green beans and candied yams. We washed all that down with a can of Pepsi and a lemonade. We waddled away from the table after having a great experience. There is no signage on the building and the only way to get there is via a route through a couple side streets off of US 19 but it's worth the "trouble". It appears to be mainly takeout. We got there about 12:30 and by the time we left about 45 minutes later the place was packed with patrons ordering and picking up. We have been obsessed with J New Mom’s BBQ since we had it at my sister’s wedding in 2019. Once we tasted it, we both knew we had to have this for our wedding. A couple of our favorite items were the pulled pork with his homemade BBQ sauce and the potato salad. Throughout the years leading up to our wedding, we would visit his tent at various local festivals and get our favorite things. 5/5 — Absolutely Worth the Wait!

After three separate attempts to try J News BBQ, each time finding them closed because they were off spreading the BBQ gospel at various festivals, I finally got my chance today. And let me tell you, it was 1000% worth the wait.

From the first bite, you can taste the care, craft, and passion that goes into this food. The smoky flavor and fall-apart tenderness of both the brisket and pulled pork were truly next level. Every bite was perfectly balanced, rich, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. This isn’t just good BBQ. It’s exceptional!

Also, shoutout to Johnny. He’s a genuine, down-to-earth guy who clearly knows his craft. I can’t wait to come back and try the rest...
