We went to Longhorn Steakhouse in Tyrone Square around 7:30 pm 10/26/2025 for dinner. I ordered the 6 oz. Renegade Sirloin medium-rare and my date ordered the 6 oz. Flo's Filet medium-well. When the food arrived at our table, mine looked medium and my date's looked rare. I figured the cooking temperatures got switched. Both the server and the manager suggested that the cooking temperatures did not get switched but rather that our plates got switched and that I was mistakenly eating the Flo's Filet and my date was eating the Renegade Sirloin. At this point, my date and I both became frustrated with where this was going. Mine clearly looked like a sirloin cut, my date's cut clearly looked like a filet cut. In my opinion, a filet cut is more round and much thicker. Also, mine clearly had the texture and consistency of a sirloin cut, definitely not filet. I pointed at my cut and said to both the manager and waitress: "What, you can't identify this piece of meat?", and they both said the dimensions of the cuts can be switched so that the Renegade Sirloin cut can be thick and the Flo's Filet cut can be thin. My experiences with cuts during previous visits to Longhorn Steakhouse, other restaurants, and grocery stores contradicts what they said. In my opinion, the manager and waitress are very ignorant of the difference in appearance between a 6 oz. Flo's Filet and a 6 oz. Renegade Sirloin. Instead of just admitting that they made a mistake and got the cooking temperatures switched, they chose to blame us for eating each other's meat. I have attached a photo of my partially eaten 6 oz. Renegade Sirloin and a photo of the receipt. If you spend a few minutes on the Internet looking at customer's photos, you will see how the cuts typically look and the difference is striking. In my opinion, the manager was unprofessional, contrary, and used poor judgement. Also, the manager and waitress were completely uninterested in our explanation of the difference in shape and thickness of a sirloin versus filet cut. The manager offered to redo our meals but at that point I was completely unsure what I would be served. We did get a 10% discount but that certainly did not make up for the aggravation and unprofessional...
Read moreOn Saturday 8/12. My family from out of town and my family went to the Longhorn Steakhouse. My nephew who has autism had been in the pool all day saying Longhorn Steakhouse or Outback. We arrived at Longhorn Steakhouse at 9:45pm on Tyrone Blvd N in St. Pete said they will have to ask the manager as it was a party of 14. The host never told me why she had to ask the manager. The manager then come up and said it will be a hour and a half to two hour wait and we close at 11. I then said so you are telling me without telling me you can't serve us. He didn't say anything. I then called Outback on 4th St N. Asked if they could serve us. They said let me ask my manager. The manager come to the phone and asked how far we were. I told him on the GPS it says we were 15 minutes away. He said ok I can get yall in. Meanwhile the manager of Longhorn come out said I can sit 2 tables of 7. I said no thank you. You didn't want to help when I checked in we are headed to Outback. We walked into Outback where we were greeted and told let me make sure everything is ready for you. The manager of the restaurant named Bryce greeted us and took us to our seats. Will was our server. He was on top of everything. They also closed at 11pm. We left at 11:30pm. Never once did Bryce come over to rush us out of the restaurant. He did come over to make sure that we were taken care of and we were happy. Will our server never once rushed us to get out at closing time. He kept doing his job. Checking to make sure we were OK, had everything we needed. My family and I are thankful for Bryce and Will for taking care of a big party, late at night not rushing us and let my family spend quality time together before my brother and his family went back home out of state. Made us feel welcomed at the restaurant and not rushed. We were very pleased with the service we got at Outback. Do not like how we were treated at Longhorn Steakhouse at all. A BIG THANK YOU to Bryce and Will for helping us and being so nice and welcomed us although it was...
Read moreWell, we called the earlier at 11 in the morning the day before my son's 20th birthday. We also called to let them know we were coming for Saturday night hostesses and Servers were such a delight and kept us informed. We have spent many celebrations there and we had my son's 20th birthday. The manager was completely out of her league And definitely had no idea what she was doing. We spent hours at the bar waiting for a table. We were put off for over two hours and they were seating others while we j weee set aside and waited and very rude after spending waiting time and getting the runaround Employees even upset. We have alway called ahead And had no hostess. Ad we had to have alerted tables. After two hours, most of our family decided to leave and didn't even get to sit and eat with us. Our server was wonderful. Food was so full of pepper o steaks most of us couldn't finish out dinners. Manager was very unfriendly and had no clue what she was doing. I am in th the Hospitality business I can guarantee you I've never seen anything like this in my life and we go there quite a bit for our parties we will Not be back and we didn't get any kind of compensation not even a free dessert or anything. It was pretty disgusting. We are all locals And for sure we will not recommend or ever be back we spent hundreds of dollars and not even an apology. Not even table check in. The gots at front of the house dining had personality. I'm never a complainer and never had a problem. It's always very hard when it's busy and you have that many people, but we had definitely made arrangements. Very uncomfortable place to be for over more than 10 people. I'm sure she will be full of excuses Honestly, at the point where we waited that long to get a meal in my father was not in good health. It was ridiculous. I can't say anymore. I'm just suggest anyone that wants to go there for...
