Hardee’s — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

2 months ago I was able to post, "Best location ever!" Sadly I can no longer give this review. First of all watch your coupon deals, you may get overcharged as I was. The manager laughed at what minuscule amount it was ($.76 ). It was like pocket change and I agree it wasn't a full dollar but it was close to $1 extra charge. You add that up over the course of a day, a full week and entire year that pads the profits I'm sure. Plus using the coupons that Hardee's offers is all about the savings not about being overcharged when trying to reap the benefits of the coupon. When I came up to the counter I observed someone left a nickel there so I made sure I gave it to this manager. He became visibly upset when I pointed out that I had been overcharged and he made light of it as if I was being very petty. He then threatened that he could charge me for a ranch dipping sauce. I told him he could keep it when he said he could be charging me for that small container of ranch dip and he quickly swiped it off the counter when I chose not to be charged extra to have it. Previously I've never been charged for it, I didn't ask for or get any ketchup and I was supposed to get a drink with my meal. It was included but I didn't even take the drink. I just drank my water. My food went down like a rock in my stomach. Before I left. I tried to speak to the manager to point out that he had savings from me not getting the drink that I was entitled to nor any ketchup or other condiments. I did not want and was not asking for the ranch dip. At this point I merely wanted him to recognize that the trade off of my not getting a drink or asking for ketchup was really reasonable to have the dip. I didn't appreciate how he spoke to me or treated the situation. Basically he could care less and told me with a grin that he hoped I felt better and had a better day. Apology? Nope. Just treated me like I was outrageous and did not care if the encounter was upsetting to me. I never raised my voice throughout the whole encounter and spoke calmly. I informed the manager that I wanted him to be aware of the review I would be posting and he said, "Good for you. Do whatever makes you happy." Honestly, I was very surprised in this manager. He's usually impressed me of how he manages this Hardee's location and I let him know that as well. Perhaps he's going through some stuff but I'm through with this location. I've also noticed quite a bit of staff turnover of late as well. Maybe that is stressing him out. Alas, I do not recommend this Hardy's location to others. It has gone downhill in my opinion not just in the quality of service but also the sandwich itself was lukewarm at best the fries were rather stiff as if they had been sitting around. They...

The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is for the service. Always with a smile, and most the time your order is on point.

What I hate is when I spend $12-20 on food, and it's almost inedible! I went here a few months back and ordered two cheese burgers and a large drink. I was honestly surprised to hear that I owed $13, thinking "it was just two cheese burgers". But I'm the type to believe there'd better be some quality to this burger! Nope!! There were two ice cold patties on them that were burnt crispy and black as tar! Plus the cheese was not even melted on them. I took one bite and almost gagged... $3.79 for this??! I went next door and got two FRESH cheese burgers for the price of one of theirs, and HOT. Unacceptable...

Fast forward to today... I thought I'd give them another go, since I'm a LONG time Hardees fan, and worked at one when I was in high school. I thought I'd order a more high end burger, thinking "this one will be fresh, since it's a special one". I got the "famous cheese burger", since it looked so good in the picture. Not only was it as cold as the veggies on it (which was the only thing I could brag about, very fresh), but it ALSO was burnt like a hockey puck on a bun. And also the cheese was cold and not melted! What's wrong with these people?? Can they not make anything fresh for their customers?! It's like they have this huge container of a bunch of precooked, burnt patties, just sitting there, cold, that they throw on a bun when orders come in. Honestly, hard, crunchy, burnt black, and inedible. I had to throw away my food both times! It's a shame!

When I used to work at Hardees, everything was made to order. We even sliced the ham fresh for our hot ham and cheese. And just to tell you how long ago this was, we even served fried chicken at the time. So it's not like it was easy. This place needs to either step up their game on quality, or stop charging prices like they're Culver's! I mean even Burger King knows their prices are deserving, and I'd pay more for theirs, simply because it's FRESH.

I just can't see myself ever going back there. I have cancer, and this chemo triggers loss of appetite constantly. I don't need the food that I'm actually craving to do that as well. And this hasn't been my only two bad experiences here, just worth doing a review on. Service is great....food inedible. Y'all gotta...

Went here today 3/ 21/21 at 530. Only 1 car it the drive through. Sat at the screen for a few minutes before i was even said hello to. Took my order then asked me to pull around. Cool,so far. Get to the window, they cant figure out what i ordered somehow. Now the other car in front of me got asked to pull around to the other side of the building... After i sat at the window for at least 5 minutes the finally came and got me to pay for the order. So im at 10 minutes now with me being the only car in the drive through i just cant seen what the hold up is. Finally came to the window and said can you pull around to the the other side, were waiting on fresh fries. I pull around to the other side. First car still sitting there, been there at least 10 minutes. I waited at least another 5 minutes after that to finally see the guy come out and almost give my food to the guy in front of me. Finally brings me my food id say about 20 min after i first pulled up. Said sorry about the wait, but i was so aggravated with the wait i just took my food and drove off. After i got a block or two away i realized all they did was take old french fries and dropped them back in the oil. They were rubbery and oil logged fries. I figured id at least get some fres fries but damn. So i grabbed my samwhich, im sure it wouldve been hot when made but by the time i got it it was already cold. Prob due to the 15 minute wait for the twice fried fries. This is a joke, and the people want 15 dollars a hour. I cant say i justify the wage with this kind of service. Verry disapointed in this last visit. I used to get good food and decent service from this location but obviously that...
