I discovered Ryan’s Meat Market over a year ago. It’s close to my son’s school, therefore, I can drop him off and pick up meat for the week on the way back. The customer service has never been “amazing” but the good meat and fair prices helped me look pass that. After today’s experience, I can honestly say I will never be going there again. As I was checking out, I asked the butcher a question in regards to the price, I had done the math incorrectly in my head, so I felt it was a fair question. Instead I was met with insults, the butcher responded with “don’t you know how to do math?” I was honestly taken back, I responded with “I don’t think that was called for, yeah I did the math wrong but still.” He then proceeded to belittle me and practically ran me out of the store. He stated that I was insinuating that he was trying to rip me off, I apologized (Ishould not have) and said that was not the case it was an honest question. I mentioned that I have been coming to Ryan’s for over a year now, he stated “well I’ve never seen you here before” ( he has, I remember him, he’s never been an example of exceptional customer service, no one has, but he nor anyone before have ever been so utterly rude.) If he’s having a bad day, I hope he can turn it around; as for me I will be taking my business to another...
Read moreSo, I waited a long time to write this review because I wanted to see the consistency in the quality of meat, the overall service, and how they handle requests, etc. I really had high hopes that I was going to love this place because the convenience of getting a meat package with big or small quantities and the location is fairly close to my home. I WANTED to love it. But after getting several meat packages and having trips for special meats, their quality and attitude just isn’t what it should be for the price I’m paying. I’ve gotten their filet both bacon wrapped and not and it’s always chewy and tough, no matter how you cook it. The chicken on multiple occasions have been spoiled and most of the breast we’ve gotten half of the actual breast tastes like you’re chewing through cartilage. Also, calling in to preorder the meat they are impatient and unfriendly and I have really dreaded giving a call everytime. I will say we’ve gotten the younger blonde man to answer a couple times and he has manners and greets the call like he’s actually ready to take the order. The ground beef always seems fresh and tastes good as well as the all natural hot dogs! Overall, just not really worth the money and the quality is poor. We will be taking our business elsewhere. Maybe their new location in largo will...
Read moreI really like Ryans. It's a cute little market with very affordable, well sourced meat. So many different things to choose from. I started going back a vouple months ago, and will never buy anymote meat from the grocery store. Once you've seen/tasted this meat you will understand why. You can tell they source their meat from farmers that care about the animals and the process.
The customer service is pretty good too. Because of Covid it's been a bit of a mad house, but the crew is doing it's best to keep pumping everything out. Thankyou Ryan and crew for providing such a good market to get a ton of good quality meat. And thank you for doing what you can to keep the costs affordable.$95 for 4 full bags full of meat is not a bag deal at all. And the bacon/filet/🐔are to DIE for. Love it all. Definitely a customer that will continue to come back as long as i live in Florida. We drive about 30 minutes to get here, but it's totally worth it once you get home and get to...
