St. Pete Sports and — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

I live about a half mile from this place so I consider it my new neighborhood bar and was excited to check it out for the first time tonight. The owner was there and was super warm, friendly and welcoming. You could tell he really cared about your having a good experience. The bartender was also super cool and welcoming. Drinks were very reasonably priced and strong. I will definitely be back to this new establishment that really cares about creating relationships in this community. #supportlocal

January 22, 2025 update: this place has reopened after hurricane renovation and it’s awesome again! Went there for their reopening tonight. They are also back to serving pizza from Nicko’s and it’s delicious as always. It’s rare to find a neighborhood business like this where the owners come by to say hello and truly take pride in their business and the community they’re building. If you’re a single guy, beware of this place. I’ve really enjoyed coming here, but I had a super negative experience with a bartenders s/o falsely accusing of me taking photos of said bartender. I turned my phone over and said go ahead and look I didn’t do what you’re accusing me of, and he destroyed my phone upon being proven wrong. We dearly missed Nickos Pizza. We were told from a neighbor that this new bar open right next door and Nickos was preparing the food. Went last night. What a lovely addition. Really a great vibe, people were happy and talking, it’s clean and nicely appointed. Nice bar area, great bartenders and drinks. We live just a few blocks away. This will be our happy spot.
