Updated review: 5 stars! I want to start off by saying the baked goods are out of this world- and the variety of sandwiches I have tried have been delicious too, which is why I keep coming back. I would give a 12/10 for the cruffin, cronut, cinnamon roll, fruit pastry, and chocolate croissant. The reason I am not giving 5 stars is because of some functional issues I have. I have a degree and years of experience in hospitality management so I’m not just saying this to say it. The lack of an easily accessible menu is frustrating to your customers, and as one of the greatest marketing tools a restaurant can have, you’re self-limiting your customer reach. The only menu available is sitting on the counter right before a person orders. They have a big screen overhead which would benefit from showcasing the menu to people in line, but instead it’s pictures of the delicious baked goods, one at a time, even though all the baked goods are right there in front of the customer at the register. I have also attempted to go online to pull up the menu in advance, and unfortunately the website version only shows some of the sandwiches, and does not reflect the baked goods available which is also problematic for the “order online” feature. I wasn’t going to mention anything and just suffer in silence because the food is so good, but the last time I was there a woman behind me asked if she could go up and grab the menu to figure out what she wanted, and I let her know I actually also needed to see it once the person in front of me had finished his order, and the ensuing brief conversation made me realize it wasn’t just me. If it’s too difficult to put it online (even a front and back photo would do), or to change the slideshow to a standalone menu board, then I would really love to see a stack of paper menus so that people in line can grab them. If you don’t want to have to continuously make menus, laminate a few and keep them at the register, but I believe you would benefit from changing it up. As someone that deals with ordering anxiety- not being able to decide what I want before I reach the counter almost made me not return after my first time, but luckily the food was so good I forced myself to keep coming back; there might be others like me who don’t return though or who don’t even try it the first time because they have no way to set their expectations with the menu offerings. All of that said, to anyone who is debating trying Crumb Factory, please do- the food is great and the pastries are...

If you’re looking for a bakery-café that not only delivers on flavor but also on atmosphere, The Crumb Factory more than hits the mark. From the moment you walk through the door, there’s a warm, inviting energy—artisan charm meets genuine friendliness. It’s clean, thoughtfully designed, and even has visual access to the kitchen so you can watch dough being formed, bakes going into the oven, the magic in motion.

The menu is a lovely balance of sweet and savory, with standout items like the Cruffin (a flakey, buttery croissant-muffin hybrid that’s just the right amount of indulgent), fresh sourdough loaves, and creative sandwiches. The Bougie BLT on a croissant is something I think about often—crispy prosciutto, smashed avocado, garlic aioli, and perfect tomato slices. The Factory Poached Eggs are also a must-try; they feel upscale without being pretentious.

Coffee lovers will be pleased. The coffee is brewed with care, the espresso rich, and there are plenty of options to suit different preferences. Pastries are consistently fresh and well executed, whether you want something light and buttery or rich and heavily filled. And yes, their desserts are show-stoppers—beautifully presented, utterly satisfying.

All in all, The Crumb Factory Bakery & Cafe is a gem in St. Pete. Whether you’re craving a rich pastry, a satisfying sandwich, excellent coffee, or just a spot to enjoy the morning calm, this place delivers. Highly recommended—not just to locals, but to anyone passing through who values good artisanal baking and warm, artisan...

At The Crumb Factory Bakery, magic is real, and it's baked into every cinnamon bun and loaf of country sourdough bread. Upon visiting, we were greeted not just with the warm ambiance of a local bakery, but with aromas that whispered of enchantment and old-world charm. It’s no understatement to say their cinnamon buns are the most delicious we’ve ever tasted - soft, perfectly spiced, with a melt-in-your-mouth quality that can only be described as spellbinding. Each bite is a swirl of comfort and nostalgia, as if crafted by the hands of a benevolent wizard rather than a mere mortal.

The country sourdough bread was no different. With a crust that sings a crisp melody and a tender, airy interior, it’s a testament to the art of baking. The balance of tangy and earthy flavors is impeccable, making it not only the best sourdough we've ever had but elevating it to a culinary masterpiece. It’s clear that those behind The Crumb Factory Bakery are not just bakers; they are true wizards, wielding not wands but whisks, casting spells in flour and yeast. In a world where the true essence of baking can sometimes be lost to mass production and artificial flavors,

The Crumb Factory Bakery stands as a beacon of genuine craft and passion. Their cinnamon buns and country sourdough are not just food; they are experiences, lovingly crafted to bring joy and satisfaction to all who pass through their doors. If you seek a taste of magic, a visit to The Crumb Factory Bakery is an...

This review is a a couple months old and hope they got better. Has so much potential and the right equipment. There were only two pastries selections in Saturday morning and neither was good. Cut up the croissant and layers weren't there, the other pastry has no idea what that is, muffin bread? blend.. The cappuccino/latte, need to froth the milk much much longer. I am surprised there is no breakfast sandwich but there is staffs in the kitchen area. Update: As promised I went back. As promised, everything is better. As promised, from two stars to 4 stars. The drinks, the baked goods are much better. Yet to retry the croissant nor the bread. I have no idea for the name, but it was so good. Will try other items the next time. Update: Glad to see continue to improve and impressive. The coffee is very good and so as the eggs and toast. Update: 7/2022 Service and food quality are still very good. However, for the breakfast sandwich, better to stick with the original sour dough bread. Changed to croissant and added cheese. The sandwich is very pricey. I rather pay less and get more from Craft Kafe. Update: 12/2022 Glad to see constant improvement of the pastries selections. Just posted a few more items. Update: June 2025 Earned another star, all pastries now are great, you can see the croissant is way different from the old one.

Edit 11/02: photos added Edit 10/28: Went back the next day for more cinnamon rolls ( don't judge us). We also ordered 5 sandwiches to go. We got the Metro. It was supposed to come on a croissant with prosciutto and gouda added. It came on a croissant that was on the smaller side compared to the other 4 and overtoasted for our taste. It was without prosciutto and my husband, the recipient, would rate his experience a 3. The remainder of our order- 3 turkey croissants were enjoyed as was the chicken avo croissant with the necessary (I felt) addition of some salad greens. The cinnamon rolls were again the star of the show. For me, these folks maintain their 5 star rating. Mistakes happen but I hope they wont make a habit of making them. I really like this place. I dont think I've ever had a sandwich constructed on such a delicious croissant... Original 10/27: Stopped in for a quick snack from a new place. I bought 3 cinnamon rolls for the kids and a chocolate croissant for me. I wish I'd taken a picture. The cinnamon rolls looked a little dry. I was hesitant to purchase because kids are picky. They were buttery, flaky and amazing as was the croissant! I knew by the time we'd gotten down the street that we'd be back. Don't let the appearance fool you. These guys are professionals!

St. Petersburg's newest bakery just opened a couple weeks ago and The Crumb Factory is off to a good start. A friend and I stopped by opening weekend but we got there a little too late in the afternoon. They had sold out of their baked goods. Luckily, they had some baguettes and bread loaves available. I stopped by this morning and was greeted warmly by Rick. I was able to pick up a couple of croissants, a cinnamon roll, a cruffin, and a Mediterranean Sandwich. Everything was very delicious and my favorite was the Mediterranean sandwich. You can't go wrong with Brie and Prosciutto. If that sandwich is the closest I can get to Paris right now, I'll take it! My only feedback is that I would have loved more chocolate in the chocolate croissant. The staff is very friendly and efficient. There are windows where you can actually watch them making the bread and baked goods. The Crumb Factory is the perfect place for a light breakfast or lunch. Keep in mind that their baked goods normally sell out quickly in the mornings, especially weekends. Thanks Rick, Pablo, Felipe, and staff for the great food and service!
