Read to the end, it's worth it...

So, I was in the mood for a chicken sandwich and I asked a family member who was already having dinner here, to bring me home a grilled chicken sandwich, no slaw, add bacon, add cheese...

The ticket reflected my order correctly, however, the sandwich arrived with slaw, no cheese, and no bacon.

Under normal circumstances, I would just cut losses and eat the thing, but since the bacon and cheese increased the price, I made a call and spoke with a gentleman whose name I did not catch, and who I presume to be the manager.

As soon as I explained the situation, he immediately put in a new order for the correct item and scheduled it for immediate delivery.

And in less than 25 minutes, the same individual I spoke with, pulled up with my food.

I had a reason to complain, I had a reason to give less than 5 stars. But after my interaction with this man, I saw how very much the reputation of this local business meant to him and I have to say, I cannot complain. Once again, the Hen House knocked it out of the park with both the food and the service.

I look forward to my next visit and highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a truly good experience all the way around.

I have traveled to alot of places and I have eaten alot of food in my life and this place is in the top 5 best places I have ever eaten. It is without a doubt the best chicken i have had in my entire life hands down no question. Everything was perfect the skin was crispy and full of flavor the meat was juicy and easy to pull off the bone. The bow on top of it being perfect was their hot honey. You dont need alot just some on the skin to give it depth and it ties everything together so perfectly it felt like having an out of body experience. The fries were perfectly cooked and the biscuit was fluffy and buttery with a slight sweetness, absolutely amazing. Alittle hot only on half of the biscuit was amazing. If you are driving throught the area it is 1000% worth the stop. The flavors already can't be beaten but the prices make this an absolute must nothing will be better than this place. I was rather excited to try this place as I had heard nothing but good reviews. Now I must say this was quite the letdown. The mashed potatoes were rather salty as was the gravy (which also had an overwhelming amount of sage). The fries weren't anything beyond ordinary, like most places around this area. The most disappointing item was the chicken tenders. While I prefer for fried chicken to be reasonably seasoned, even the honey mustard couldn't tame this level of spiciness which was more in line with the Popeye's hot tenders.

Our order was Doordashed, so I didn't rate atmosphere.

It appears that fast fried chicken restaurants in this area are limited to what's on FLW. The Hen House is an off-post alternative that leaves much to be desired. If Wingstop or Raising Cane's decided to take a dip into this market, this place would...
