Absolute nightmare and we never ate. We had two members of our 11-group party check in at 7pm (since they do not take reservations) and give a 30 minute heads up for our party. 30 minutes later we arrive and they act like theyâve never seen us before in our lives. The manager, Lisa, is sweaty and running food and everyone (the VERY few staff there) is darting around like a chicken with their head cut off. The manager Lisa couldâve told us from the beginning that our party was not doable, but instead yanked us along for three hours. So at 7:30 we were told it would be a 40 minute wait. 1 hour later we are told it would be a bit longer. We were finally sat around 8:30 (after initially checking in at 7pm mind you). Upon sitting, no wait staff comes over. Instead, Lisa the manager comes over and we try to put everything in at once (food and drinks) she says no letâs just do drinks first. We then ask for a clear-cut answer on how long she thinks food would take to come out. She again strings us along and declares âthey are not a restaurant technically) seemingly trying to lower our expectations. We got the message and got up and left. We walked back to the Salt Shack and were served food in under 20 minutes. The difference in service between the two properties is SHOCKING. The bar staff here is rude as well. We asked a girl for a bucket of ice to chill wine that the Buoy House had gifted us in our room. She said no and we needed to walk all the way back to the other property, to our room, and order room service to receive a bucket of ice. It was entirely rude and...

Any took time to talk to us and had explain that she had 3 people out yesterday which made a huge difference with how service went. We really appreciate how she went above and beyond to make up for our experience. She even called our room to wish Ryan a happy birthday and sent us chocolate covered strawberries . I would definitely give Sugarfin another try. Was craving sushi while here on the island, the nice lady that checked us in at Buoy house recommended it. We patiently waited for a table to be ready, after 30 minutes the manager sat us, had small talk and was very nice and friendly, she took my husbandâs drink order. The menu is very small and limited. A waitress finally came by, took our food order and my drink order.we waited at least 30 minutes, waitress never came back and we finally got up to leave. A bartender stopped us to let us know they didnât have the exact bourbon that my husband wanted, they convinced us to stay and decided to give it another try. I wish I could say it got better but the hamachi crudo was ok and the firecracker roll was very dry and disappointing. Manager, Amy Eash still took care of us. She comped our meal, gave us free drink vouchers and a dessert to take home. We chatted for a bit and made the end of this experience a little better. Sheâs the reason why this is 3 stars...
Read moreI recently visited Sugarfin in St. Thomas and had a mixed experience. While the restaurant boasts an incredible view, there are areas that could use some improvement.
Ambiance and Views: The highlight of Sugarfin is undoubtedly its breathtaking view. Overlooking the ocean, the restaurant provides a stunning backdrop for any meal. The ambiance is relaxed and inviting, making it a great spot to enjoy the natural beauty of St. Thomas.
Food Quality: The food at Sugarfin is okay. The menu offers a decent variety of options, and while the dishes were satisfactory, they didnât particularly stand out. The quality is acceptable, but thereâs room for enhancement to make the dining experience more memorable.
Customer Service: Customer service is an area where Sugarfin could improve. The staff were polite, but the service lacked attentiveness and efficiency. A more proactive and responsive approach from the staff would significantly elevate the overall dining experience.
Conclusion: Sugarfin in St. Thomas offers an unparalleled view that makes it worth a visit. The food is decent, but not exceptional, and the customer service has room for improvement. Despite these areas needing attention, the stunning scenery and relaxed ambiance still make Sugarfin a worthwhile destination for those looking to enjoy a meal with a view. With some enhancements, it has the potential to become a standout spot...
