Dog House Pub — Restaurant in Saint Thomas

I haven't had a good burger in a long time and The Dog House Pub serves up one of the best beefy, juicy, patties between two pieces of bread on St. Thomas. Their burgers are just awesome, I think it has something to do with how they melt their cheese into the beef but when your burger comes with onion rings and bacon inside of it, its drool worthy!

The hubby and I hit up this outdoor bar/restaurant near Havensight for the last time before leaving St.Thomas and our burger did not disappoint. We ordered the cowboy burger $14 (two beef patties (1/2 lb) with onion rings, bacon, BBQ sauce and cheddar cheese) and with the fries it's a hearty meal and can feed two people. They have free wi-fi, 7 TV's with working cable, and are now dog friendly (saw a lady sit down at the bar with her fur baby with no problems). Service is quick/efficient and parking is the first left past the restaurant, there is an open dirt lot and at the rear 2 charging stations for electronic cars.

If you like spicy ask for their "Haitian Heat" hot sauce. It's amazing on fries and we couldn't tell of what exactly was it in but it faintly tasted like it had ginger in it. Great homemade spicy sauce!

Customer Service has always been not so good. However, Saturday, February 12 @ about 11:45 pm, was by far the worst and I would continue to share the horrible experience. First off, we had to flag down the server who kept walking back and forth right passed us to ask her for menus. She said she would get some and come back. When she comes to the table, she ask, "So what can I get you." Once again we stated, "Menus!" After placing our order, time and time had past. I received the 1st half of my order which was a to go order that I placed and paid for separately. After waiting for over an hour for the rest of the food, we decided to just leave. We didn't even bother complain about it. However, what really got us upset was that once we got outside, the server told the security to stop us because, "They did not pay!" Pay for what exactly? The food we DID NOT Receive? After we told them we never got our food, with an attitude, they told the security guard, "Let them go!" I placed the date and time this happened so that the manager would know exactly who worked that night. Hopefully their awful customer service skills would...

Dog House Pub hosts Trippin' Thursdays starting at 8 p.m., and it is one of the best deals on St Thomas! First of all, it's sponsored by Budweiser Beer and a few other brands, so Buds are cheap! AND, with each beer you buy, you get a ticket for prize drawings held throughout the night. You can win excursions offered by popular tour companies, so if you're on vacation, you should try your luck for a free outing.

They usually have live music at Trippin' and the bands are usually very good. Don't expect all Caribbean music - lots of genres are represented. For very popular local bands, the place can get crowded so go at 8.
