Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Salado

I wouldn't dare send a friend or family member to eat here they are nasty meaning they don't ever wash their hands while digging in their head or elsewhere or even after coming out the restrooms yeah they just go right to making your food with bare hands but the manager (Annie) doesn't mind that at all because she does it too and let's them chat on their phones and lounge all day is probably why our food is late coming out and cold and the grease they fry our food in is 2-3 months old they just keep using fryer saver to keep it from getting black and nasty looking and adding new grease to the old grease and not to mention the fryer looks like nobody ever cleans it with all the old grease all over it and they hold the food in the warmer longer than it's suppose to be held and still serve it to the customers is why they get so many complaints on cold and nasty food not to mention if your order is wrong they just take the main ingredients off and stick it on a new bun when the whole thing suppose to be remade fresh but that never will happen at this location and God forbid don't eat there 2-3 hrs before closing because they hold the cooked food in the baskets on the fryer and serve it from there cold as hell or they might just dip it back in the fryer for a few seconds then send it out and im speaking from experience and what my friend told me about this location it's the nastiest unprofessional fast food place I have ever witnessed and if I could rate it a zero that's what it would be period I have a friend also that was just fired from here and he was only stating the truth a manager (James) should never be allowed to date the employee (Cheyanne) because it could create a hostile environment and that's just what happen in his case now that is what you call a unprofessional workplace and I live here in Salado and will NEVER...

This evening a young man by the name of Mason that drives a Chevrolet pickup with a Dominoes Pizza delivery sign decided to pull in with another young lady and cause chaos and harass the employees, myself and every other patron at the restaurant.

He was revving his truck, climbing on the roof of the truck as well as the roof of the building and yelling. When the employee asked him to stop he began to scream at her. I told him to stop over compensating and stop harassing service workers.

He began a tirade and refused to leave until given what he wanted. The employees gave him his order and he began speeding through the parking lot preventing other patrons from leaving, screaming and revving his truck.

At this point I felt no other remedy than calling the police because I couldn’t exit and according to the employees, this is a normal occurrence and management doesn’t feel empowered to ban the young man.

Your employees are are working hard and diligently and deserve a safe place to work without fear of reprisal for banning a threat to their safety.

During this whole thing the employees handled it professionally but felt they had no power or option in the situation to have him removed. This isn’t ok at any workplace. They don’t just deserve a raise, they deserve hazard duty pay for keeping everyone safe.

While this may be their first place to work, it should be building them for their future careers and Sonic would be lucky to continue to have them after such hostility.

I’ll change this review when you ban the young man and put policies in place to protect...

I was extremely disappointed in my experience at the sonic in Salado. I tried to order a junior breakfast burrito and was told they no longer make those although I can get one at any other sonic in central Texas. So I changed my order to a croissant sandwich with sausage And I ordered a supersonic burrito for my son. In addition, I ordered two hot coffees. The food was served by the carhop very quickly (not a sign that the food was fresh) along with the coffees and he left to get my change. When he returned with my change he kept he brought me six dollars from my 20. while he was gone I checked the temperature of the coffee and it was barely warm, I asked him to report that to the kitchen manager and I left and went home, ate my not hot sandwich, nuked the coffee and my son had to totally rebuild his burrito and heat it up before he could eat it. The eggs were not mixed with the cheese and jalapeños and tomatoes as we’ve had in the past, and it was just slapped together. Basically it was terrible . The parking lot and sidewalks are dirty. The menu has dried sugary drink splashed on it. Very unappetizing. I as ready to get away from the place by the time I got my order. Sorry about the bad review but you need to improve some...
