The pizza is pretty good. The cheese bread is amazing. The homemade ranch is extraordinary. I see why everyone was doing pick-up orders.

The inside is nice and enjoyable to wait for your order. Each order is made fresh, and there are a number of reminders to let you know your order will take a while. That's great with me, fresh food is always best - and you can't go wrong with decor of local breweries amd movie posters of 'Tombstone' and 'Terminator 2' --- however, if I had to hear the young lady at the counter say "I'm sorry about that" one more time.... (sigh).

We ordered a side salad, an appetizer of jalapeño cheese bread, and XL Salado Supreme.

After 20 minutes, I approached the counter, asking if I could get the side salad, but I had to wait for the young lady to finish a phone order, not a big deal. I was greeted with "I'm sorry about that" and then began my question when the phone rang again and she answered it and began taking the phone order. Seriously??? That took another three minutes. She hangs up and says.... wait for it... "I'm sorry about that" and I begin my question again. She apologizes (again) and says she will check on the salad. Three minutes later, we have the salad (rather small for the price, in my opinion, but that is the only cost concern I had)... and five minutes later, we have the cheese bread... followed two minutes later by our pizza - so much for an appetizer.

The entire time we sat while waiting and eating, there were several customers coming in to place orders and pick up. I love seeing a business this busy. However, every single time the phone rang, the young lady would stop helping the customer at the counter (who actually took the time to come in) and would take the phone call and the order, and then would go back to helping the person at the counter after saying... yup, you guessed it... "I'm sorry about that"... (big sigh).

The total and complete lack of customer care for customers physically on the premises made our decision where we will likely not ever dine-in again.

Now, the food was tasty, as has been mentioned, and we did leave after buying a jar of the ranch (it really is that good), but we will think twice before returning.

Edit to reply to the owner's response - Tuesday, April 15. We were there from approximately...

Was in Salado for the Christmas stroll yesterday and decided to grab a small lunch. Had seen this place before so decided to stop in, HUGE mistake. The prices were not listed but I did expect, being in Salado, they would be a little more. I ordered a pan sized supreme pizze off the menu. I was floored when I looked at my receipt and realized they had charged me $14 for a personal pan pizza. They charge $6 for the crust, sauce, and cheese, THEN $1 for each additional topping. Here is a picture showing how small the pizza is and how few toppings were added. For the the price I paid they should have been running off the sides of the pizza. In addition, the drink cups they provided were the size of a small, in most places, but charged $2.50 for them. What a ripoff for food that was just ok. On top of this the help wandering around were filthy and looked like they had just wandered in off the street. I watched one work and he used his hands to wipe crumbs off other tables and onto the floor. Never saw them use any time of rag/cleaning solution between customers. Will never make the mistake to eat here again!!! Also telling all my friends to avoid...

The pizza is good but thats as far as it goes. The customer service is terrible. I've been buying pizza from them for almost 5 years. Everytime I call in an order for delivery and I mean EVERY SINGLE TIME, they act like its the biggest inconvenience in the world. The guy/girl will answer the phone and act like they are completely irritated that im ordering delivery. Then they will proceed to tell me that its going to take 1.5-2hrs if I want delivery (EVERY TIME). Ill tell them thats fine (which seems to irritate them more) and the pizza almost ALWAYS shows up in 35-45 minutes. Its almost like they tell me that so ill say nevermind and go elsewhere. Why offer delivery as a service if it inconveniences you so much to fulfill it. I hate writing bad reviews but this has been going on for the entire time I've lived in salado and ordered from them. I also only live 5 minutes away...the convenience is the only thing thats kept me...

This is a really nice and Reasonably priced place. The Pizza was extremely good. The Shiner Bock was Ice Cold, And, the Jalapeno Cheesy Breadsticks! WOW! They also have a Nice Salad Bar. They had some really cool tunes playing inside and out. There were a few outdoor tables, but, we opted for inside by a big window. It was a little Breezy that day.. I always appreciate a nice clean restroom and this one was spotless and well stocked! The decor was cute and it is Veteran owned/operated! ....Bonus....They have Hand Dipped Blue Bell Ice Cream! In Large Waffle Cones! Amazing! I had the Sea Salt Caramel...OMG! I highly recommend this place.
