I recently visited Bar 1859 in Salado, Texas, and its hands down the best addition to this charming town! From the moment we walked in, the moody ambiance and beautifully designed space drew us in, blending the perfect mix of modern and rustic vibes.
Their cocktail menu is top-notch, and everything we tried was a hit. I ordered the French 75, the Gatsby Girl, and a classic Margarita—each one was perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. My husband went for the namesake drink Bar 1859, and he was blown away. He tried both the regular and smoked versions of The Old Fashioned Way, and both were fantastic.
The bartenders are masters of their craft, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout the night. Every drink felt like a handcrafted experience. If you're in Salado and love craft cocktails, Bar 1859 is a must-visit. I have a few drinks I still want to try but it'll be hard not to go back to the ones I've already had; they were that good. Really impressed with how reasonable the prices are for the quality of drinks you get. We'll...
Read moreThis is the new ‘place to be“ in Salado – Salado has needed this for a good while. So classy and beautifully decorated with friendly service and friendly owners. Dueling pianos were incredible. They have done a good job of getting a lineup of musicians. I can’t get enough of just hanging out in this beautiful space. There is a fenced and lighted patio area with TVs and turf cornhole. I enjoyed watching the kids have a great time and leashed dogs are welcome. They have awesome small bites and have just added artisan flatbread pizza. I love love their smoked Chex mix! Opened now for two weeks, Fridays and Saturdays are busy and there is a great weekend vibe going on. Sundays are nice and steady and I met a ton of people coming and going. I literally could just sit in there all afternoon, taking it all in and have a drink in there and watch a game. I have always heard a good bar will have one heck of an old-fashioned – and they sure do! Thoroughly enjoyed that drink. Congratulations to the new owners and...
Read moreTook about 10 minutes to get served at the bar. Apparently the lady with the shaved hair on the side can't multitask. There was only a couple of people in the restaurant unless they were all outside in the back but she just kept making drinks and couldn't take our order or greet us at the same time . Finally, the other person with the orange hair started helping. More people begin to sit at the bar and she actually could multitask a little better and greet and get drink orders and continue to make things at the same time like a regular bartender. She put our food in and it been about 30 minutes and we finally asked what was going on .so she went back there and got our pizza and it was ice cold. Considering this place is supposed to be more upscale than let's say chupacabras the service was subpar compared to the other place. Definitely won't come back. Especially when we can go to Georgetown have the best bartender at Hardcount kitchen and have $6 drinks and huge...
