First off, I realize this could be sacrilege or heresy to some, but I've never been a big fan of Chinese food. I find myself looking at the menu and wondering wtf 99% of the food is. If I don't know what it is, Do I really want to take that risk? Thereafter I once again find myself contemplating life as I'm stuck on a toilet for hours wondering how I went so wrong in life to end up at that exact moment. Oh right...Chinese food. Everyone I know generally has the same issue. Can't imagine a household of 10 people sharing one Toilet after eating Chinese food....That's a horrifying thought.
Chopstick Brothers however, Totally different story. Other Chinese restuarants, Please take note.
General Tsos chicken: OMG!!!! Fn mind BLOWN! So damn crispy, So juicy, literally explodes with flavor as you bite into it. It comes out piping hot with a side of perfectly cooked rice. And yes I have to notate the rice. Many believe "Oh it's rice, how can you screw that up." Don't mind those people, They are simpletons, with no idea of the complexity that goes into creating the PERFECT RICE!!!! I can tell that this fine establishment understands the meaning and depth of the secret techniques behind Perfect rice.
Pho: Mmmmmmmm super delicious!!!! You take one sip, Next thing you know the whole bowls empty and your reaching across the table strangling your best friend asking WHO DRANK ALL MY SOUP!!!!!! Later after losing your best friend....You realize, It was you who drank all the delicious soup. but you were lost in bliss, enjoying the perfectly balanced spices and aroma, So how could you possibly have known? It's basically your best friends fault. He should have just bought you another bowl of Pho. That's what best friends are for, right?
Service: We were seated immediately and the server was very polite and helpful. After ordering im pretty sure we got our food in world record time. It was literally less than 5 minutes. Most places if I got it at that speed, I'd be a little concerned, But my fears were alleviated after trying it. It was simply just them being hyper super supreme chefs with unheard of and unparalleled speeds, serving God tier dishes at a local restuarant near you!!!!
Atmosphere: Clean, Very well put together place, with a great ambiance.
I highly...
Read moreWe had kept hearing about Chopstick Brothers through social media channels and finally got a chance to try them today for lunch. We showed up shortly after their open time, and they were already several booths in! Service was fantastic; hostesses were polite, welcoming and checked in often.
We ordered the General Tso's Chicken lunch, Mongolian Beef lunch, and an 8 order of Potstickers. The lunches come with two crab puffs and egg flower soup - the soup came out first which was a nice touch followed by the Potstickers and then our entrees.
Let me preface this review with saying that the food is FRESH. When I say fresh - I truthfully mean this is the freshest Chinese cuisine we've had in this area - period. If it wasn't for this fact, unfortunately Chopstick Brothers would be a solid three star.
Food looked appetizing, was piping hot - the beef we couldn't even eat yet because it was so fresh out - but the overall taste of it left a lot to be desired. The rice was "average" with nothing to differentiate it from other restaurants, the Potstickers were "average" as well. The Mongolian Beef was on the blander side which was surprising, because the General Tso's Chicken was the star due to the freshness and bite of the chicken, and would highly recommend that to anyone. If they fry all their chicken like that, then that is where we'd recommend sticking to.
Otherwise, as said above, this is solid, but it's not GREAT.
To recap:
Is the food good? Yes. Is the food FRESH? YES! Is it worth a 5 star? No.
Honest Review: Chopstick Brothers is a solid 4 star experience, and arguably the best Chinese you'll find in this area, which is much needed...
Read moreI really loved my experience.
It wasn't the stereotypical restaurant in design and I loved that - it was refreshing. The inside was all wooden panels and it was very clean. The plants everywhere were a really lovely touch. I loved the wooden panels at the entrance by the sitting area. The wooden designs all were very pretty.
We came at 12:35pm with a packed restaurant and parking lot. We found a parking space and table easily. We even were able to ask to wait for a booth which took less then 10 mins with the full restaurant.
They seat us with water and menus. Our orders were taken promptly. We had our waters refilled continously throughout our dining without having to ask.
We did the lunch specials for the table which consists of a choice of protein at 11 for chicken or pork (beek/shrimp 14), soup, rice, and a side.
The soup came out first. We all got egg drop. This egg drop had noodles in it which was really good! I didn't notice any starchs in the broth. It had chicken, bamboo, carrots, and corn. I liked the spin they put on it as it stands out. You can salt and pepper to taste which is also a smart move in my opinion.
Our lunches came shortly after and the favor was great. All the food tastes homemade. Even the sweet and sour.
I didn't get any noodle soups this time and look forward to trying them all. I really enjoyed the food from this restaurant. I...
