Cozzie's NY Deli — Restaurant in Salem

I was really excited to eat here after reading the reviews and seeing the photos on Google review. This place makes it because it's the only game in town in the industrial park they're in. I spent nearly $30 on a signature sandwich, an egg salad sandwich, a bag of chips and Italian soda. If it was good and plentiful no problem, but I ate everything and was still hungry. The egg salad sandwich had maybe two oz of eggs in there. I mean seriously it was a flat sandwich and several bites were just plain bread. The number 11 Rueben was excellent as far as flavor from the sauce and quality of the meat, but ridiculously skimpy on the protein for $14 no sides. It's the value of what I got vs. what I paid is why I left the 2 star review. That and the fact I've been to New York several times and the delis are known for stacking the thinly shaved meat. I mean even in Los Angeles which is the most expensive real estate on the west coast you can go to Langer's and get an amazing Reuben for $19 with a side. BE PREPARED FOR LONG WAIT, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! 2 Stars because the chicken parm sandwich was decent. Order placed 11:42, email promised it ready at 11:56, which as fine. After almost 20 mins past the promised time and everyone else after me getting their sandwiches, THEN they began to cook it!!! I moved to speak with the front desk, and the cook saw me (looked right at me multiple), yet put my and others orders on the other counter and didn't inform me! A few mins later turned back around and mumbled, "I called your order!" with an attitude - even my coworker rolled his eyes. I was patient and didn't say anything until nobody said anything till almost 20 mins after the expected time. Then the staff is rude?!!! I arrived and nicely informed them of my name because being my first time, I forgot to update my name. I didn't "touch the papers" and even waited where they told me (I asked them). I can go to cheap fast food joints to get bad customer service! Had they simply communicated with me, told me when it was ready, it would've been fine. Paying for a mediocre sandwich and an attitude...

Omg i have to say was skeptical about this place at first. The short stalky kid was down talking there newer employee who by the way is amazing she is so friendly and smart. Ne ways he was just mean for no reason and the big guy with tat on ear no better as soon as the girl left the area them as well as what im is assuming the manager all huddled and proceeded to talk negatively very unprofessional as well about the poor girl who u can tell knew they were talking about her but went about her work. Then the short guy proceeds to smack smack smack the sandwich hes maki g smashing down flat what looks like stuffing crams the sandwich together wraps it and tosses to the side taking no consideration that the people r watching him make the sands.and then is rude to me hope he isnt high up because deff the downfall of the buisness.
