If I could leave less than 1 star I would. I am very disappointed with the service that was provided. My husband and I usually go to DB, Bentley’s, or HB but since we live so close we thought we should try Java Crew so I walked up to the window with our daughter in her wagon to try and explained to the lady at the window that we are wanting to see if we can get some what close to the drinks we get to elsewhere to see if we could just start going to Java Crew instead. As I was explaining the drinks the lady got extremely unpatient and which at that time there was only 1 other car in the drive through. She said that the drink I ordered was as close as possible to what I explained than when I asked her again she said “we’ll honestly I wouldn’t drink it it’ll probably be gross” I was extremely put off by that since she just minutes prior said that was close to what I order from the other places. When I looked at the menu to see if I can add a flavor to make it taste a little better she quickly shushed me saying there are a lot of customers in the drive through waiting and that I need to hurry. There was still only 1 car behind me. I just said fine and clear her continue on with our order. Than the customer behind us rudely yelled out his window “ARE YOU ABOUT DONE YOU KNOW YOUVE LOSE THEM LIKE FIVE CUSTOMERS RIGHT?! I explained to the customer that the lady was almost done and also clarified that he was incorrect because he was the only driver there the whole time.. the lady inside quickly glared at me as if I’m not allowed to stand up for myself to “her” customers. The server was extremely rude, and spoke in a sassy tone with me the whole time. This coffee place definitely isn’t family oriented... I felt like this business is verry snoody and doesn’t care about the experience the customers have. DEFINITELY WILL NOT GO BACK. I will be sharing with family and friends about my...
Read moreI’d been coming to this location off of 12th street in Salem for years, but I feel I have to say something today cause my last two orders we’re not just less than favorable, they were out right BAD. Especially today, I ordered, literally about 30 minutes ago, two of my usual drinks, a fruit smoothy and a small Bigfoot, hot & with coconut milk instead of milk. I knew the moment the Bigfoot was put into my hand that something was WAY off…it was light as a feather! I’ve been gypped before by local baristas but this one takes the cheater-of-the-year award - my Small Bigfoot with coconut milk (think the small is supposed to be 12 fl oz) was more than 1/3 empty with a huge pile of steamed milk on top. I didn’t ask for steamed milk and was mad as heck to see that my cup (once I was done lividly scooping out all that unwanted steamed milk), had less than 8 ounces of actual liquid in it!!!! WTH 🤦?!? And I paid more than 6 bucks for THAT! Yes, that 👆. If I hadn’t been in a hurry to get back home and back to work, I would have driven this joke of a drink back for a refund. I didn't want it at all at this point. Very disappointing. Won’t be going back for awhile if at all. ...
Read more3 stars because the past 2 times I’ve gotten one of their “Baked Fresh Daily” items, it has been VERY DRY, and tasted of the cellophane it was wrapped in. I tried it a second time because I don’t like to form an opinion from one bad experience, but sadly it was the same and was many months apart. Waste of $2.75 x2. Coffee is fine though.
On a positive note- I’m not an outgoing, chatty person. I appreciate that Java Crew is all business and just prepares my coffee and doesn’t waste time with asking me how my first hour of the day has gone, where I’m going, why I’m going there, how I like going there and what else am I doing after that!
I also appreciate that they don’t make you sign a paper to push tips, or have a pad to make you select a tip also. I can’t afford tipping every time I get a drink! Java Crew makes me feel no pressure to talk or tip, which therefore makes me a repeat customer and tip...
