I have mixed feelings. But will offer honest feedback. The pizza is good, very good. It is flat, crispy crust, so if you are not into that, go elsewhere, but I really like it and have always enjoyed eating it. Their Unique styles and the options are nice. My co-workers and I used to go here for lunch twice a week. Then they jacked up the prices. Some time ago They had a lunch special for 4.50. Then it was recently raised to 5.25 and now it is over 7.25 in a just short period. We have stopped coming here for lunch as the other places around town have better priced lunch specials. Their dinner prices are also expensive, but I would only ever come for lunch so I can’t comment. Lastly, I had an experience on one of my last visits here that rubbed me the wrong way. I Called before they even opened and ordered a lunch for most of my office (over 10 pizzas). I arrived just as they were opening and went up to the door. It was still locked so I waited patiently. A blonde woman (a manager or owner, not a regular employee) walked out and asked me to step back because “there are other people ahead of you.” I didn’t understand what she meant because there was no one else in line (apparently, she meant the people waiting in their car a few feet away.) I stepped back farther, and then noticed that she was having difficulty getting the doors unlocked. The second door kept closing on her as she tried to unlock the first door. I decided to lend a hand, big mistake! I said “Here let me hold that for you,” and held the door open as she tried to unlock the other door. She immediately yelled in my face that I needed to “step back” and accused me of trying to trip or her or some other such nonsense. I hadn’t even touched her, only the door that was causing her issues. Again, I stepped back. Once she opened the door I allowed the people who were supposedly in front of me to enter first. Then another gentleman offered to hold the door for me and I refused I said “No, go ahead, you hold the door for someone here and you get your head ripped off.” The woman heard me and yelled at me again. “Excuse me, sir you tried to trip me.” I again denied this and explained that I had been trying to help her. She said nothing and offered no apology for her rudeness or behavior. She continued with her snooty and rude attitude as I handed over 100+ dollars for pizza’s and left rather miffed about her behavior to such a regular customer. Normally the experience is great, but that one was terrible… and the prices are too high now, I will be...
Read moreWas disappointed to learn that Google+ forced me to give a minimum of 1 star. Went to Padington's tonight because everyone always raves about it. What a disappointment. I arrived, there was nobody in line. I placed my order at 5:26 PM, I received ticket 18. Shortly after I placed my order they called ticket 8. By about 6:00 PM they had called ticket 12. They literally made 4 pizzas for the dining room in 35 minutes. We finally got our pizza at just before 6:30. That's over an hour to get a pizza starting with a nearly empty dining room. Remind you there was no line when I got there; there was a line out the door when we were leaving. Doing the math, those people will probably be there sometime into the next century.
Many customers were upset about the wait time, none of us could understand what in the world was taking so long. We all received the explanation, "Oh, yeah, we're really behind." No kidding? No apology, no voucher, no "make it worth your while" discount, no nothing. I'm not sure how they stay in business treating customers this way. To boot, they use canned mushrooms, a lot of canned things, disappointing.
I would recommend anywhere but here. Here is a faster alternative: Decide you would like a pizza. Drive to the midwest, plant some wheat for the crust. Wait for it to mature, then hand grind it into flour with a millstone. Purchase a piglet, raise it until full grown, take it to Canada to have it butchered (it is called Canadian bacon afterall). Fly to Hawaii and purchase a pineapple, fly back. Make the pizza by hand from scratch. You will have saved approximately 20% of your time by doing this process.
Don't forget about the deluxe china that they set out for dining room customers. This consists of a Styrofoam plate about the size of...
Read moreLast night I took my family for pizza hearing that this was supposed to be some of the best pizza on commercial to my great disappointment this was not the best pizza on Lancaster.
The woman that took my call was very short and clearly very annoyed and dinner hour had not even started yet, I'm not sure if I was unclear, spoke too quickly, or if it just had nothing to do with me.
The crust is delicious thin crisp great flavor well cooked the sauces entirely too thin not that I like a heaping layer of sauce but enough to kind of play a medley with the tomatoes to the cheese to the other toppings
My order was very confusing during pickup due to confusion in extra toppings that didn't belong on my pizza because they took my order and fitted into their menu and forgot to subtract extra things that were not ordered and in turn forgot to add things that belonged on it.
The poor woman that brought me my order handled my confusion and distress with amazing Grace and dignity despite the very concerned look on her face for how things might go. I did not mean to sound distraught (?) I was just very confused by the very large wrapping on top of my pizza. (Cold tomato slices that didn't belong to the pizza that I ordered but did belong to the pizza that they gave me)
Overall the pizza was only disappointing because of the lack of sauce, and frustrating ordering experience, as well as frustrating pickup experience. granted I was very disappointed to see canned mushrooms instead of fresh mushrooms on my pizza, but that's just a personal preference some people like canned mushrooms not fresh.
I'll give it a few weeks and go again and I genuinely hope to...
