Raymond's Ice Cream Parlor — Restaurant in Salem

So sad this place has gone down hill. Used to be the best place to go for breakfast. Took us 2 hours from the time we walked in to the time we walked out for 3 people to get breakfast. There was a total of 11 people in the entire place. Only 1 person working. The poor lady took your order, cooked the food, refilled your drinks and everything. She literally could only serve 1 table at a time. Some guy came out of the back randomly to wipe of a table after people left. He could've easily refilled drinks and took orders. The prices were good. But the amount of food we got wasn't worth the price or the amount of time we waited. We tried to be patient because we honestly felt really bad for the lady. She never stopped working. Nothing was her fault that day. Just poorly...

Hands down the best home made food and best service in Salem! My daughter and I stopped in for lunch last Friday and the waitress asked what we were up to for the day. My daughter told her we had just got done w kindergarten screening for her and that she is officially a United Eagle 🥺❤ the waitress was so sweet as was the cook who made her a lot of silver dollar pancakes and then they gave her a free scoop of her favorite ice cream! We loved it so much we went back today for mothers day breakfast w my mother in law, my sister and neice and nephew! I will continue to go here and recommend it...

I would give no stars if I could. We just moved to Salem and thought we would go out and enjoy one of the local restaurants…. Wrong. This was the worst service I ever had. Finally when we hit the hour mark of being there we decided to get up and leave as I was unsure when we would actually receive our food. We ordered breakfast food, something that should have taken 10-15 minutes. If they were busy I would’ve understood but there was only one other person in there and now we know why.
