I Stumbled on this place after seeing an ad for soul food on Google maps. What a Gold mine. OMG, So this food establishment consists of an assortment of "Food Trucks" that individually provide food of different cultures from "Soul", "Thai", "Cajun Boil", "Grill Cheese incredibles", "Cheesesteak Subs", "Korean", American fish & chips, Philippine Bobas, Punjabi Indian, Mediterranean, just to name a few. So many, it was hard to pick just one, so I indulged in the company of two different heavens. Although I wanted So much more, with a small appetite, I settled with being just slightly overstuffed. Again, OMG. The trucks are stationed outside of an inside common seating area that offers a choice of sofa, love seat area, high round tables, thick rich wood picnic tables, and seating at a Bar that stretches out to the other end for Coffee, Tea & other assortment of drinks. I'm sure whatever you desire. My food choices were wonderful, so good, and I hope you can choose something of your liking based on my delightful experience. Whoever came up with this idea really knocked it out of the park. LoL I want to adopt this "Business" idea and apply it to Metropolitan areas to encourage the coming together of cultures while doing something We all love, feeding our faces with Great food. You gotta visit if near or want to plan a trip just to experience a touch of goodness. P.S. _ I noticed a stage inside where there may be live performances on certain days or evenings, which only elevates the environment even more. A Most Favorit Place to visit per a google map's enthusiast.

Dropped by the yard food park a few weeks ago and was immediately met with the tantalizing dilemma: so many food trucks, so little time! After circling the culinary carousel a few times, I landed at Baja Fish-and wow, what a win! As a self-proclaimed, fried shrimp and fries enthusiast, I'm always on the hunt for crispy perfection. Baja Fish delivered just that: piping hot, golden-crunchy shrimp with generous portions and fresh flavor that didn't disappoint. They didn't skip on the condiments either, which I deeply appreciate when diving into a seafood feast. The seating area was inviting-clean, comfy, and thoughtfully arranged. Whether you're sipping a cocktail or grabbing a cold soda from the bar, it's a great place to kick back. Bonus points for the rolls of napkins at the ready and clean restrooms tucked inside for easy access. From indulgent eats to a laid-back vibe, The Yard Food Park offers something for every kind of explorer. Whether you're craving bold flavors are just looking to hang out, you won't leave hungry or disappointed.

It was a very unfortunate first impression with this potentially great food truck hub. It seems greed or poor management may be the reason prices were so high and the quantity AND quality of the food was lacking. I mean less than a cup of Mac salad, two small scoops of sticky rice, about 2 oz of Korean beef and maybe one chicken thigh Katsu for $10. Seems that this particular food truck was running out of food but kept taking orders. They were then rationing it which was not fair to any of those customers. And flavor wise, well...there was very little. They even forgot the Katsu sauce so I had to go back and stand in line. Bottom line, I ask The Yard to provide some system of accountability to it's patrons for the quality and value for the money of the offering presented on their property.

Always great, love how all the variety works together. Sometimes it's hard to know what carts will be available if you're counting on a specific dish, but there's always an alternative.

Years after my first review, and this modern mead hall is still my favorite place in Salem to hang out or meet friends and family. There's something for everyone, and for different tastes and dietary restrictions. The comedy, trivia events and live music in the evenings are great. Like a family-friendly bar! Speaking of which, their local brews on tap or mixed drinks are just what you need to complement whatever food you choose to get. Self - serve soda machine also great and accessible.

During the day, it's a great place to lunch or laptop. Tons of natural light with all the windows and open bays in warmer months. There's a couch area for a more comfortable and intimate hang out nook, like where you'd expect to find Joey, Ross, Phoebe and Monica as regulars on any Tuesday. Sometimes games and gas fire pits outside in back.

There's space for big groups - either communally amongst regular patrons, or you could probably also book it as a venue for special events or conferences with the stage, AV equipment and screens around. We reserved a few tables for a birthday party for a couple bucks a head. They put down cute little reservation signs in advance. They let you bring birthday cake or dessert only if you make reservations, but bringing outside food and drinks is rude and verboten otherwise, as is customary. We did our best to clean up and pack out party-related trash for no-trace Yarding. Everybody there was really cool and helpful.

Shannon, the owner, is really involved in making this space awesome, and she checks in regularly on social media to let people know what's going on. When you see the custom tables in the space her family made, it's clearly her baby, and she's created a real local community gem that brings people together for food, drink, and...

I have two reviews for this place (venue/drinks and then food), summary: both are fantastic.

As for the venue and drinks, these folks go above and beyond. Quick and friendly service at the bar followed by assistance changing one of the many TVs to playoff baseball so we could catch the game. And great beer selection from tons of local breweries.

As for the food, you may. See below for the review I just left for Jojo’s Soul Food, which is one of the food trucks parked outside the beer hall.

Holy sh*%! It’s called soul food for a reason: it will change you. In fact, it may ruin your ability to enjoy other BBQ in the future.

I got the half rack of ribs combo, which comes with collared greens, mac & cheese, beans, and cornbread.

The ribs: Falling-off-the-bone deliciousness.

The beans: Pineapple in the beans?! This is genius. A bite of ribs and beans gives you perfect savory and sweet combo.

The cornbread: You’re not going to have room after eating everything else. You’re going to want to throw in the towel. Don’t give up. You must dig deep and find the energy and space to take a bite. It will take just one bite for you to ask: is this cake?! Am I hallucinating from all of the food I’ve already consumed? Can I count this as my vegetable portion for the day, everyday?

Look, this is a food truck parked among a dozen other trucks so you do have options if you go to this place. And I haven’t tried the rest so I can’t say what the others are serving up. But trust me when I say there’s no need to find out on your first visit. For that, make life easy and get yourself...
