Video Only — Local services in Salem

I just wanted to let you all know what a great team you have at your store in Salem Oregon. I have been a very loyal customer of Video Only ever since the store opened in Salem. I have purchased over the years 5 TV's, 3 stereo receivers, 2 Bose sound systems, LG soundbar, and bluray players. I am a huge fan of your stores because of the friendly and knowledgeable staff I have sent countless family members, friends and co-workers to your stores to buy the best AV product they can get.

I  look at your store in Salem like my adult toy store / candy shop. When I stop by to see what's new I am always greeted by friendly staff. I come in offten enough over the years some of your staff have remembered my name and say "Scott good to see you. Are you hear just looking or buying  today?" They never push a sale but make sure I know what's new and what deals you have. They treat me, my wife  and kids with great respect.

Yesterday was a great day for me I have been looking  at wanting to get a new TV and soundbar for well over a year. Over that time I have been talking with one of your employees Lucas Wiemer. What a outstanding employee. He is a keeper. He never push hard and always answered all my questions. His knowledge on the products is incredible. He understood this was a big buy for me and my family he never pushed to up sale me. Over about a 4 month period I  narrowed down what we wanted and then where able to afford it yesterday. We purchased the LG SN10YG soundbar and the LG OLEDGX 65 inch TV. What a great setup. The Family Loves it.

Lucas Wiemer made it such an enjoyable experience with you store. It was a very big expense for our family but I know I was not taken advantage of buy him or your Store. When I was paying for the sale he was asked to help an elderly couple on a purchase. What I witnessed was a extremely friendly person answering all their questions. Sitting with them and showing nothing but true respect for them. Again what a great example of an outstanding employee.

I  have also over the years witnessed this same type of outstanding customer service in all your employees at the Salem store. Keep up the great job in hiring and keeping the knowledgeable, kind and...

I watch 95% of my television viewing on streaming. My very last Blu-ray player bit the dust yesterday. I was devistated. I had heard good things about Video Only (although for the life of me I can't remember where!) and I had to go into Salem anyway so I stopped to pick up a Player. I thought it would be one fast and easy stop. Was I wrong. As soon as I walked through the door I was met by a salesperson. I told him extactly what I wanted. The first thing he did was suggest a different brand. Did it have everything that I required? Absolutely. Since I am sceptical I insisted that he hook it up and show me. It did not have what I had specified. This wonderful VO salesperson who is supposed to be so capable of finding you just what you need then refused to show me any other players. He told me I should not buy from VO. He suggested several other retail stores that I could try. He said if I wanted to buy from VO I should come back in about 3 weeks but I would probably find what I was looking for elsewhere. He was very pleasant but still.... Samsung 77" OLED Video Only. Samsung Q990C sound system. I've spent a lot of time shopping for my entertainment system. My 2nd to the last stop was Costco, where I waited 20 minutes to talk with a salesman to get a few questions answered, only to find out he didn't have any answers because he had recently started. He directed me to wait for the other employee working the tv department because he had all the experience. I waited another 20 minutes for him to finish with the customer he was talking with, only to find out he had only been working there for 3 months and didn't have any answers either. You have to see Lucas at Video Only, talk about getting all of your questions answered, I'm pretty sure he build one from scratch. Save yourself a lot of time and money, I saved almost $1000 over what I would have spent at Costco and they didn't offer a sound system close to the Q990C. Video Only also offers the same 5 year protection program Costco offers at the same price. I'm not sure where you are shopping, but if you make Video Only your last stop it will be your last stop.
