This is probably my least favored option for Thai food in the area. This is definitely not the majority opinion, as I know some people who swear by it, but I also know a lot of people who agree with me that it's not great.

The two problems I have with recommending this place are the service and the food.

Service is very, very slow here. I can't be sure, but I think they very much prioritize takeout orders, as it's not uncommon to see quite a few takeout orders come out of the kitchen while waiting for the server to come over and take your order, and then many, many more takeout orders come out while you wait for your food to eventually arrive - and it always arrives very piecemeal - so some people get their food 10-15 minutes before everybody else has gotten theirs. Makes for a really frustrating experience.

The quality of the food is fine - it doesn't seem like it's cheaply made, or made out of sub-standard ingredients. It seems mostly fresh, though not the freshest. The problem is that all of the dishes I've tried just don't taste like I'd expect, and have slightly off ingredients - like stuff that's not normally in the dish other places. I'm having a hard time remembering which ingredients I'm thinking of... They also don't make food spicy no matter how insistent you are that you want it actually hot.

The only time I eat here is if I'm with somebody who insists this is where they want to eat, and when I do, I just have to grin and bear it. It's not like the food is awful, just not great, and nowhere near as good as several of the other really good Thai places in town.

I know a few people who would consider themselves "regulars", and when I've gone with them, the server/owner seems to recognize them and say "hi", but it frankly doesn't seem to improve the speed/quality of the service, and the food is still just not that great. Again, serviceable in a pinch, but go somewhere else if you don't want to wait forever for mediocre, not...

This review is exclusively for the food as I ordered take out, so have no info on the ‘dining experience’. This is the first time I’ve had to ever throw food away. Yes it was that shite. Like Gordon Ramsy Kitchen Nightmares shite. Ordered 1 crab Rangoon appetizer, 1 mild Chicken pad Thai & 1 medium Chicken pad si-yew. The crab Rangoon’s were sloppy, dripping in grease & shy on the cream cheese (‘must have been running short’ or skimping). They came with this watered down luke-warm piss version of chili dipping sauce which tastes like spiced up old bath water. Gross. The chicken in both the pad Thai and pad se-yew was over cooked, tough and dry as Jesus’s flip flops. The noodles (possibly used a bad egg) had a slight fart smell or flavor that you’d accidentally catch depending on where you had the misfortune of placing your fork). The pad Thai was exceptionally dry. Like sticky dry old dish rags left all day on the washing line under an Arizona desert sun. ( seriously dry ). The flavor was bland. It’s as if they were annoyed at having to do a take away order so they tossed in some old dry dirty food to get the order out, over and done with. #despicable. Couldn’t feed the waste to my dog. Hopefully this review saves others from the abominable experience that this Thai dive serves up. Oh and the whole mess was around $30. Feels like like I’ve been mugged. For the love of God....

Still in my work clothes I came in and asked "could I use the bathroom before I order?" She responded with "you have to buy something to use the bathroom." I responded..... "Can I use the bathroom before I order?" It was all down hill from there. 1st time at this place I live down the street figured I give it a try being in the mood for some pho. I ordered.... no pho and I was already there so I just went with the fried shrimp. She came back with my food in a to go box saying we are closed. When I sat down, even ordered I didn't get any water or offered a beverage. An elder couple came and was straight catered with water until they said never mind and left, I looked at the lady having a great time talking it up with a customer. I just let it ride and didn't say anything. My first experience at this place was not good as well as a last minute cooked meal which she could of said we are closing soon do you want to gi so.ewhere else because the food is gonna suck and still be full price. Lol!which was not good as well as no sauce for my shrimp because they had no pho to what I came for. I had a bad experience and was really craving pho. 1st and last...

This was our first time ordering Thai food from this establishment. Overall a decent experience, despite not getting the correct order which we paid extra for. Pros: Food quality is good. Fresh and good flavor. We received our order in a timely fashion. The sweetened Thai tea was delicious but overly sweet for my taste. (I recommend getting half sweet if you don’t have a big sweet tooth.) Cons: We upgraded to noodles instead of rice (see pictures) but we’re given rice anyway. (This was inconvenient as we were all the way home before realizing their mistake.) Again, overall not a terrible experience but it’s hard to change first impressions. We will probably go back to ordering from our usual Thai place as we haven’t experienced our errors with our orders there. I do understand mistakes happen. We might try this place again in the future and give them another shot.

On February 20, 2025, we had our second experience of finding a foreign object in our food at Tup Tim. We had a to-go order of fried egg rolls and found a 6" piece of string in the egg roll. I called the restaurant to report this that night and left a message but in the two weeks that have passed no one has called us back. The first time this happened we found a hard piece of green plastic about 1-2" long inside a fresh roll. We showed them and they offered us a free appetizer in return. We regret that we ever gave them a second chance and strongly encourage everyone to find other reliably clean and safe thai restaurants.
