We first bought a couch from Jodie at the Salem store. She was great Communicating it would be a custom and what that meant and the extended timeframe with Covid etc.
We called back to order some patio Furniture and Jodie wasn’t available so we assured she would get credit.
That wasn’t as smooth as we were told it was in stock and would only be a week Or two. Several weeks and calls to the store later we finally got our patio furniture.
Recently I was back in the store hoping to Find a desk that wouldn’t take too long to get. Jodie wasn’t in that day - and I found one and then called later to let them know I wanted to purchase provided it would Arrive in 2 weeks. After being told yes it would only be two weeks, but delivery and set up would be more than $150, I said we would just pick up Since set up was just adding the leg.
Four weeks later, I had not received any communication at all so I called and was told it had to come from Denver and weather delays meant it would be there Thursday,
Thursday came with no Communications and when I called, I was told it was pushed to Saturday and someone would absolutely call me. Sunday and no call I called back and was told it would be another week. At this point, I asked them to please cancel as I had explained I needed the desk by the new year and I was disappointed in the lack of Communication.
Interestingly I was then told in order to cancel they needed my full card number and exp Date (this was a Furniture row card) and I explained I was driving and couldn’t access it at the time. She went on to tell me that they don’t keep information in the system. At that point I was pretty frustrated and commented that they sure could charge on it from the phone - suddenly she told me that since it was done over the phone she would take care of it.
This makes no sense. The utter lack Of communication has turned me off now from revisiting…. Jodie was great and we Love out couch - but not enough for conf hee business given the following...
Read moreWhen you buy a small country like a piece of furniture you want the best price and an excellent quality product. Options are freeing when it comes to choice color and delivery. Some other stores had only one option or two. Delivery can come with significant charges. Furniture Row did not charge me extra for a store delivery and pick up. Yes. Some do. I had a salesperson who is knowledgeable about the purchase item and how it works. Construction, maintenance, insurance, and expediency in delivery is needfull information that is best served seamless and is so welcome . As a stress free experience? Its So very valuable during this process. The salesperson who takes their time to answer questions with patience and gives you time to process is golden. This was my 5th furniture store in Salem ,that I had waded through in 2 days' time. These prior 4 stores were a fail in more than one way during the process. Furniture Row is so far 100 %. I give it 4 stars because I have not received the living room furniture yet, I will give 100% (5 stars) if it arrives on time and is in pristine condition. (Assume it's 5 stars if you don't hear from me again. April 14th, 2024, is the delivery date.) Trust me when I share.....this truely is the type of experience, consideration, and mutual respect is absolutely what you need when you are making any purchase. Perhaps a cup of coffee to make me feel extra treasured.?? ( hint) I recommend you start at Furniture Row in your search, and your journey just might be a joy rather than a...
Read moreMy husband and I bought our first couch from them for our new home. 15 weeks later we finally have it in our home with chunks out of the feet and scuffs on my wall. We love the couch, let me start there. But the quality of customer service was low. We originally met with a gentleman by the name of Matty I believe. He was genuine and down to earth and we appreciated his honesty. We went back with my in-laws and put in a very large order. Unfortunately he was not there and we had to work with Jodie. She was cold and made our experience much more complicated. We wanted to split up our order from our in-laws. We had to make several calls and then my husband went in before they finally agreed to move the couch to our own order. After the 10-12 week waiting period for the couch to be delivered, without a place to sit in our home, we received it 15 and a half weeks later. Every time we called their computer system was down and could not give any details. We were reassured via text message that Covid did not stop production or halt the process in any way or form. They did not accommodate these long waits or rude "managers". The gentlemen who delivered the couch were the nicest people from this whole process. I cannot recommend this store at all. I would recommend to go to Woody's furniture or Mor furniture on Lancaster if you are looking for reasonable pricing. After working in customer service and retail as long as I have, I would never be proud of the quality of work Furniture Row does. Their focus is money....
