This place is SO chaotic every time we go to eat there and it's because they are chronically understaffed!! I have contacted their corporate office to plead with them to appropriately staff the restaurant for the sake of the employees and the customers. Employees are frequently stressed out and overwhelmed due to being understaffed. This typically results in a few things: them complaining to the customer about staffing, them repeatedly apologizing to the customer, irritated customers who are tired of waiting an inordinate amount of time for their orders. It does not matter if you order ahead. We have still waited 20+ minutes PAST the time we were told our sandwiches were ready. There are times they simply do not answer the drive through because of the amount of in-store and call ahead customers waiting. It's really a sad situation for the employees. Also, they are not trained appropriately on the register. I have had them not accept my digital gift cards because they didn't know how to process them or didn't know how to apply a coupon. We have also had issues with our take home orders on a few occasions. Once we ordered a 6 pack of macadamia nut cookies online. My husband got there and they only had TWO cookies, neither of which was macadamia. They did not offer to make any cookies nor did they offer him a refund on his purchase. It was just like, "Oh well." We did eventually get the situation rectified after about three phone calls. Then we had an order delivered when we had COVID. Part of it was missing so I called the store. We were told we could drive to the store to come get our missing item...after we paid for the delivery already and while we both had COVID. It took me several weeks of phone calls and emails to get that sorted out. Oh, and they have odd closing hours sometimes because of staffing. All that said, the restaurant is clean and the employees are overall pleasant. There just needs to be more of them and they need to be adequately trained. Everyone suffers...
Read moreI know they can't control that their drive thru isn't touch screen, but the process of ordering at the drive thru was dreadful. The woman taking my order was incredibly rude. She snapped at me when I would ask for something they were out of as if I had some knowledge of their inventory. A loud truck pulled up behind me and the woman got furious with me because she couldn't hear me and aggressively told me to pull up to the window. I did and apologized that she couldn't hear me and she once again snapped and asked me what else I wanted on the sandwich and was very upset to hear me ask what she had heard me say. AND when I started over on what vegetables I wanted she sighed and yelled what she already had on the sandwich. This whole process took half an hour. I wasn't slow. I knew exactly what I wanted but frequently had to repeat myself. To top it all off, there was hardly any meat on our sandwiches (we had 2). Mine was basically a $10 loaf of bread. Awful overall. The young man behind the counter was busy with a drive-thru order and had 3 female employees behind him chatting away. 2 of the 3 female employees looked at me several times, saw that the male employee was busy and NOT one of them stopped what they were doing to tend to my order let alone cash out the customer at the drive-thru window. When the third female employee came to the front it was the same, all three looked at me several times and continued to ignore the fact that I was standing there let alone didn't help the male employee when he asked for help. I will never go back to this Subway willing knowing I will probably be ignored again by the female employees.
The Subway off of Crawford and I-70 was better, however the storm knocked out their system and were taking cash only and we had gift cards as payment.
We were finally able to order food and utilize the gift cards at the Subway store off of Crawford and Ohio.
