I can't say enough good things about our experience at La Curva Mexican Restaurant in Salina, Kansas! From the moment we walked in, we felt incredibly welcomed. The service here is absolutely out of this world. Our server was outstanding--today was actually her first day, and you'd never know it by how comfortable, attentive, and friendly she was. She made us feel right at home, taking the time to walk us through the menu and answering our questions with a genuine smile.
My wife ordered the pork tamales, and let me tell you, they were simply fantastic. Perfectly seasoned, tender, and packed with flavor--she couldn't stop raving about them. It's clear they use authentic recipes and high-quality ingredients. As for me, I ordered the Camarones a la Mexicana, and wow, I think I've just found my new favorite dish! The shrimp were perfectly cooked, and the flavors were perfectly balanced, with just the right kick of spice. It was incredibly fresh and vibrant.
One thing we both absolutely loved was the pico de gallo. It was hands down the best pico we've had--so fresh and flavorful, it was the bomb! Every bite was bursting with that classic, bright combination of tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and lime. The portions were generous, and the presentation of each dish showed real care and attention.
La Curva has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that just added to the experience. It's the kind of place where you feel like family, and the staff goes above and beyond to make sure you're happy. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. If you're in Salina and craving authentic Mexican food, La Curva is a must-visit! Highly...
Read moreLa Curva in Salina, KS. You really want to eat here. I had the Enchilada Jalisco: an enchilada stuffed with shredded grilled chicken, refried beans, sautéed onions and green peppers, then covered with lettuce and tomatoes, Pico de Gallo and Guacamole. I poured Queso Blanco on it, and voila! Awesomeness. The restaurant was clean, the staff attentive. I can't wait to go again to try more of the menu! 1/18/22 I went again for lunch, since I was in that area. So I had the Enchilada Jalisco again, but it was filled with beef (I think), and not as tasty as before. It had less peppers and onions inside, and the Guacamole tasted old. Disappointing. I'll try something different next time I go. The wait staff was very attentive, and restaurant clean. Kudos. I'll go again with friends and see what they think. 11/28/23: My friends enjoyed their chimis with Mex rice and refried beans. I had the 4 enchiladas. The beef tasted funny and seemed burned, the cheese ench didn't taste right, the bean ench was ok, and the chicken ench was too dry. The corn tortillas tasted funny. In short, I didn't enjoy my food. We all had a couple of margaritas, which were pretty good. The service was great, restaurant clean, and we didn't have to wait long for the food. Next time I go there, I'll just have the old standby: enchilada Jalisco. 3 stars for...
Read moreOk so... I’ve been here several times now. Sometimes the food is AMAZING sometimes it’s like another person is cooking and doesn’t know what they are doing. In restaurant I’ve always had good service. I ordered to go one time and ordered a meal and a large queso and two salsas. I got one tiny, tiny bag of chips. I asked for another one and the girl argued with me that I was only allowed one bag of chips. I told her I ordered a large queso and two salsas and this tiny lunch bag half full of chips was definitely not enough. Especially when my ticket was $25 for one meal and a large queso. I was like fine I will pay extra for the chips you should provide with the food I just paid for. And she said “well I guess I’ll just give you another bag of chips” and acted like I was an idiot. Honestly it made me angry. AND the two tiny bags of chips I got still wasn’t enough for all the cheese I ordered. I had to go BUY tortilla chips from the store for us to have enough for the queso. I will never order to go again. Honestly I don’t know if I’ll be back at all. Why wouldn’t they just give me enough chips for the queso I paid for? A 20 oz. queso should get more than one lunch bag half full of...
