Hacienda Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Salinas

This place is huge and spacious inside, I have not been here at night but they have a stage, speakers and lights everywhere so I assume on the weekend nights they bump this place up, We stood in the entryway for a while as they were short on staff but once we got seated one waiter was running around busy and serving all the tables himself finally we got service and this guy was really good getting to all tables until two waitresses came in to help. Food was great timing was great as this waiter was literally running around to serve. One table whistled which I thought was rude as I saw the waiter there just moments before but the waiter ran up and appeased the guy for heads needs surprisingly the waiter smiled and calm as if he was not even offended.

After we finished the waiter came to pick up the plates and I was so impressed I asked for his manager..... turns out he Ricardo was the owner!!!!! Apparently some called out and he pick up the pace like a champ! Ricardo also chefs when he can.

I’ve been here several times but now I am proud to come eat here and support this guys business, he is an owner that cares about his business enough to do whatever it takes to make customers happy!!

If I could give Hacienda Mexican Grill zero stars, I would. This was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The service was abysmal--the staff ignored us for long stretches, made us feel like an inconvenience whenever we asked for something, and were generally uninterested in providing even basic hospitality. The food was okay, definitely not the best Mexican food I've had, but edible. However, the cherry on top of this terrible experience was when they tried to charge me for salsa to go with the chips! Seriously I've never been to a Mexican restaurant that charges for salsa. If you enjoy being ignored and paying extra for the basics, then Hacienda might be the place for you. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and dine somewhere that actually cares about its customers.

I originally only did a Yelp review and had to add to that review with the following; We just received the bank statement and they changed the charge from $29.35 to $44.00. Thank goodness we wrote in $0 for the tip and put the total, and saved our copy of the receipt. This will be disputed. But watch your...

I'll be honest this place was really good. Would i say amazing im not sure. I went for my granpas birthday and to make it better it was on taco tuesday so they had $1 tacos. We went around 6pm and we were i believe the only table being used beside the bar (which was sort of full). And all i can say is the service was as expected. He took our order, brought our food, came checked on us and offered refills at least 3-4 times and he brought us the check and boxes as we left. Not the most talkative but he did his job. Considering there was 11 of us the food did come out around the same time. So that was nice. Maybe 5 minute wait from the first and last person to get there food. And all the food was great. We did a family style sort of meal so i tried everything from the jalapeno poppers to chicken, steak, and shrimp. The highlights were the chips and salsa, the shrimp tacos, the $1 tacos (al pastor) and the enchiladas with mole sauce on top (highly recommend this one). Over all solid performance. Will...
