Costco Wholesale — Local services in Salinas

First off I want to say I really love Costco, I've shopped there since they've opened. Unfortunately today was the worst experience I've had shopping at a store period because typically customer service is something valued in Monterey county. If you follow me and have read my book you know about my little boys cancer. Because of this he carries a stuffed Animal with him all the time, recently we have adopted a kitten and he's very happy and carries her everywhere btw her name is Dutchess. Dutchess is the best pet ever for Ben. He cuddles her all day. Today I made a run to Costco for eggs and face wipes. Ben is holding and petting Dutchess, (crowds make him anxious and he feels overstimulated) as his father and I order food. This cashier who is not helping us, rudely interrupts and says right to my face, "Just so you know, next time No pets are allowed!" No excuse me, no respect, not even politely asking. Just a dirty look and blatant disrespect. I was amazed and said nothing. I know right, first world problems! To be honest it was more about my son. He's been through so many hard things in his life. For someone who doesn't know us to act in such a way, without considering that maybe he needs a emotional support animal. My point is Ashley the assistant manager at Salinas Costco had no right to be so rude just because she could be. You never know a persons situation. THE HURDLE WAS THAT THE TAGS WERE MISSING IN A FEW, WHICH THE ASSOCIATE 'VERONICA' AT THE RETURN DESK, METICULOUSLY TRACED THE CORRESPONDING CODES OF THE GARMENTS WITH REFERENCE TO THE ORIGINAL INVOICES THAT WE HAD CAREFULLY PRESERVED AND PRESENTED FOR REFUNDS ALONGWITH THE ATTIRE. DURING THIS ACTIVITY, THE MONITOR/COMPUTER AT THE REFUND DESK FROZE COUPLE OF TIMES. SHE WAS SO DEDICATED AND PROMPT THAT SHE RETRIVED ALL THE DETAILS AT HER ABLEST BEST AND QUICKLY. WE WERE HAPPY NOT ONLY FOR GETTING THE FULL REFUND, BUT ALSO TO OBSERVE THE EFFICIENCY OF THIS TALENTED, YOUNG, ENERGETIC EMPLOYEE AT SUCH A POPULAR SHOPPING WAREHOUSE, WHERE VOLUMES OF PEOPLE VISIT. I’ve been a member for years. Today I had the worse experience at the Salinas Costco. I’m waiting in line at the food court I send my son in the warehouse to get waters from the vending machine first time he went in no problem he wanted to get one more because he was thirsty and the second time the lady took my membership card. My son told me I honestly thought he was messing with me. . So I go to the front door to get my card well she has it but doesn’t want to give it to me. I was like my face is on the back give me my card. She still wouldn’t I took it and told her I pay my yearly dues stop treating me like this isn’t my card. I called the manager she trying to defend her actions (of course) I told her my son just went to the vending machine I was in line at the food court it’s not like I was at home she gave me a fake apology. I just told her . Get it but she didn’t have to take the card away from my son she could have just not let him in. And when I tried to get it back she didn’t need to keep it from me my face is literally on it. I was no happy. But I heard it’s only going to get worse they’re going to I’d ppl as they come into the warehouse can you imagine how long that’s going to take....
