Annarosa's — Restaurant in Salisbury

Being Italian & from just north of Boston, Italian bakeries are (or were) my go to when I lived closer to Revere area. I'm lucky to have found Annarosa's being further north. I nearly cried seeing the last 4 or so cannoli's getting boxed as I waited in line. So I got a croissant with berries, small iced coffee and semolina bread. My cannoli disappointment however, was short lived. Absolutely delicious, all around. My coffee is perfection.

Lovely, old school vibe. Highly recommend! I might be kicking myself with this review, as this could draw more people there. They make limited amounts of things and their hours are untraditional. For all those nay sayers giving bad reviews try to understand why they're not open 7 days a week from 5am into the evening - it is a lot of work. There's also prep work before opening. When they're out, they're out. Get there early on the days they're open. Beautiful shop and they take pride in the quality with everything they make.

Anarosa makes a wide variety of artisan breads. My family loves their cranberry walnut bread. Many people along the northeast seacoast love their breads, so getting to the bakery early is wise for the best selection. They also make fresh pizzas with interesting toppings. The European style pastries are great and fun to try. The physical environment is very unassuming as they are located in a very small strip mall/shopping center. Service was pleasant. *Be prepared as good food and good quality come at a premium price. Sadly, Anarosa is only open limited hours (late week & weekends), so check their website or call to make sure they're open. Got to this bakery yesterday late in the day only to find out that they are all out. I decided to check out their website and read how the whole passion for baking started when the owner bought a bread machine. I figure I got to see how they lasted 19 years. I went back this morning and got to meet Jane, the owner who bought that bread machine 19 years ago. What a nice lady. I also got to taste their product. Man, it is out of this world.
