Best Desi Restaurant in America Period
I live in Northern Virginia and have tried most of the Desi restaurants in the area as well as many elsewhere in America, nothing comes close to the Punjab Kabab & Grill. Luckily, I happened to stumble upon this gem on my trip to Ocean City as my hotel was in Salisbury, the Hampton Inn.
I was able to get a glimpse of the kitchen so I can confirm that the food is all fresh and cooked to order, as any good food should be. Most importantly, the food was perfectly spiced and every single dish was delicious, which happens very rarely according to my palate. Another bonus, compared to prices elsewhere, the prices here were very reasonable and some items like the Chicken Sheekh Kabab ($4 for 2 big seekhs) are a complete bargain.
I cannot stress how much I recommend this restaurant. I have never felt so satisfied after a meal at a restaurant as I did here. The food was as good as home, which says a lot given how nitpicky my family is about food being perfect. Everyone there was quite helpful, most notably the very sweet lady who works as a waiter there (I didn't remember to ask for her name).
Overall, we are overjoyed with satisfaction after our meal at Punjab Kabab and Grill. It really made the trip and now we're planning on returning to the area, undertaking the 3-4 hour drive in, in the future with the sole purpose of eating at...
Read morei ordered some take out and BOY am i impressed. they wrapped everting securely so nothing spilt and everything stayed warm and to keep everything in as little hands a as possible. I was nervous because i’ve only had indian food in nyc where it became a staple. i had a few bad experiences after trying a few places that wasn’t my original place. But mannn this place was top notch this stuff tasted like someone’s mom made it. you can feel the love made in the chicken tiki marsala and it’s perfectly seasoned without it tasting like someone dumped the whole spice jar in. i also ordered the keema paratha for the first time and i wish i could EXPLAINN how good it was. it was a simple naan like consistency stuffed with ground chicken that had a simple falafel taste to it. it was beyond delish. the naan is perfect i ordered the garlic and two other regular sides just to get a taste and i was so glad i did because it was perfectly fluffy on the inside but with the ¿crust? being baked to the perfect golden brown.
i want to develop taste via the internet just to justify how good...
Read moreThey have Absolutely no idea what pakistani food tastes like. They tell you 20mins and they warm up old cooked food in microwave. Couldn't even finish 1 naan and i left. Food was so disappointing. They are very nice and pleasant when you walk in but as soon as they realize that you don't like the food they ignore you for the whole time. Not once did the waiter came to our table. Same waiter went to the white family's table multiple times only because they don't know what the real pakistani food should taste like so its easy money.. i sat directly in front of the kitchen and i saw the guy warming up my food in the microwave before bringing it out. This is disgrace to our food, our culture and most importantly our religion. You are cheating to make few extra buks. Never coming back here again. To all the non pakistani FRIENDS DON'T let the smiles fool you. They food you are eating here was cooked 2 days ago. Lol they broke boys scrap for pennies to make a buck. Grow up. Lol also get a new sign it says PU Kabab. And bright orange is a great outlook for the building keep...
