Have really enjoyed this coffee shop when I’m in the area. I’ve also been happy that the company has been able to expand to Annapolis, as that is much closer to home for me!
I generally get a latte or caramel latte, and they are consistently good (regardless of location). Service is also typically very friendly.
There are a few things I can comment on that I would love to see improved. First: almost consistently across the board at Rise Up locations, you are given a take out cup without question. There are moments where I stay in at the shop, and would really appreciate a true mug. My biggest reason for that is environmental, being that there are SO many coffee cups that go without being recycled every year and as far as I’m aware, there is not a recycle bin at location. I also had a similar experience with my food, where I have asked it to be “for here” and had it put in to go containers.
Only other thing is the space is tight at this Rise Up! The line easily puts you out the door, or uncomfortably in a table’s space. There is outdoor seating, but there’s not much shade so it’s definitely tough to imagine sitting there in the summertime heat.
Ultimately, this place is super solid with a delicious cup of coffee consistently (which is hard to find)! I do brag on this place. They also carry a local Kombucha, which is super sweet. Keep supporting local! Main thing I wish to see more of is better environmental consciousness with the to-go cup use.
Thank you, Rise Up! Will continue to come by, as well as rock your gear.

Read moreUnexpected find in Salisbury! I had a smashed red potato bowl that was delicious and my husband had a breakfast burrito that he enjoyed. The food was cooked to order and very fresh. I asked for my egg fried over hard (I hate runny eggs) and they were happy to accommodate. I really can't say enough good things about the food. We didn't try the coffee (we found the place after we were well-caffeinated), but it smelled really good. My only complaint was the seating was really scarce (and it wasn't a weekend or rush hour, I think we went at around 11 on a Friday). Given the limited seating, I think they need a policy on how long you can linger - most of the seats were occupied by people on their computers (and it's just not a large enough space for that). That said, parking was fine even though they were so full because they have a great set up where they share parking with a bar that isn't open at the same time. Really smart strategy there. We'll...

We were here on vacation and stopped in for breakfast both days. Found the staff to all be very friendly and knowledgeable. Took time to explain different drinks to my wife despite it being busy. Coffee was delicious. My breakfast sandwich was like heaven. Homemade breakfast sausage and egg on a warm, buttery biscuit, cooked to perfection.
The second morning we had a mix up where someone else took my food order by accident. Totally not their fault, but the staff apologized profusely and quickly put together my order a second time. Even gave me a token for. Free drink next time I am in as an apology, which was not necessary but definitely appreciated.
All in all a great experience and I will absolutely be back next time we are...
