1 Fish 2 Fish Crabs & Seafood — Restaurant in Salisbury

There's lots of details below, but the short summary would be: good quality seafood at a good price, but nothing overly special worth going yout of your way for. Details: Don't let the appearance of the building scare you away. The staff is really nice and the prices are good., Unfortunately, we weren't overly impressed with the food and the prep took longer than we anticipated (we called ahead thinking it'd take 15-20 min, but found out it was closer to 35-45 min-- this was right when they opened and out of season so ). We went out of our way on our drive home from the beaches to stop here, and found that while the seafood is good quality, the end result is lacking. We had the seafood platter so a little bit of a lot. The hush puppies were the favorite item. The crab cake was large and the crab was good, but the filler caused a gooey texture and decreased the flavor of the cake. The 2 fried shrimp were good. The 2 scallops were good scallops but the friedness was limited. We didn't care for the 2 fried oysters-- which had a different batter than the fish and shrimp (but it was mostly the oyster that wasn't up our alley, again not bad seafood- more just not our thing). I usually have a very good experience here, the food is usually very delicious and generous portions, I had gone to One Fish Two Fish yesterday to order some fried oysters, they said that they were out that they were very sorry and will have some tomorrow, so today after I got off of work I went there and at first they said they weren't going to fry any food today that it was it just all boiled food, but then they went back and checked with the cook I guess and they said that they could do it so I wait about 15 minutes and then my orders ready I paid 9.95 for the 7-piece appetizer and then I wanted to order 3 more so I ended up paying $15 for 10, so when I got outside opened my box and I found 10 little scrawny pieces of oyster most of the batter had fallen off, I was so very disappointed I've always. Have got nice size oysters and with perfect batter on them, I was just too tired to go back in there because I have just gotten off from work, but I will never go there again, I don't think they had the same person cooking the oysters, they should be ashamed of serving such scrawny small oysters used for frying. I do recommend not paying for your order first and pain when you pick it up, before you pay for open up your box to see what it looks like before walking out...

I eat from here at least twice a month but really look forward to the summer crabs! The mixed females I got last month was probably the best I ever had, but this month probably got the worst. Again, I say I order from there twice a month at the least so one bad experience in three years (since the last silly issue) isn't bad! I spoke with John when I asked for a manager and he was understanding, kind, and offered a reasonable replacement dozen. Well today I was really wanting some deliciousness but gunshy about crabs after last week. John was not in, but the gentleman who answered the phone was just as kind and professional and agreed to the fried oysters I was craving instead. And even added the couple slices of tomato we spoke about saving me a walk to the grocery store! A little over salty to me but I have been actively reducing my sodium so everything tastes over salted to me right now LoL everything was delicious, service was fantastic, and I look forward to maybe trying something new...
