Don’t get me wrong...I love Yocco’s. I worked at the Rte 100 location throughout high school and continued to patron whenever I came home from college. I have my regular order that I give every time, with slight variation depending on how hungry I am, and no location has messed it up that I’ve been to until this new South Mall location. After getting home from ordering one yocco’s cheese dog add pickles extra onions after visiting my dad in the hospital and deciding to treat myself, I come to find that the girl put only exactly that on the hot dog. No chili sauce, no mustard. It was dry as a bone and not to mention the dog itself was a far cry from the well done ones we were always taught to serve. I’ve been ordering the same hot dog for going on 7 years and this location, for all its extras...bacon, kraut, whatever else...they don’t know how to serve a classic Yocco’s hot dog. I thought hm maybe this girl is new and could use some more training on deciphering orders. So I gave the store a call to bring it to their attention. The manager responded by indignantly affirming that her employee did not need any more training and was not new and must have just misunderstood. Ok...I know the customer isn’t always right but I’ve been working in the industry to know well enough that it’s the policy anyway. Safe to say on the rare occasion I decide to treat myself to Yocco’s, I will not be visiting...
Read moreSo we were intrigued by the jingle and thought we’d check the hot dogs out. We each ordered 2 with the special sauce. All of the dogs came out with sauce all dried up on a very stale bun. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and chalked it up to being late in the night. We gave it another shot and tried a burger , gross . The meat was so greasy and you could just tell it was very low quality meat by the nasty flavor. Ok so now we are at strike 2. We gave them 1 last chance. I ordered a hot dog with mustard onion and 1 with sauce. The rude lady basically scolded me for ordering incorrectly. Then my daughter ordered 1 with mustard onion. We asked for fries and a drink and she barked at us telling us the cashier takes that order. Jesus. I was so stressed. The cashier was so confused what we got and had all kinds of items we didn’t order. So I got that straightened out and we got our tray with 1 less hot dog than we ordered. Ughhhh then the lady scolded my daughter saying she tried to clarify that she wasn’t just repeating what I ordered. Then slammed her hot dog down. Idk if the hot dogs truly sucked or if I was just so defeated by how we were treated I didn’t even enjoy the meal at all. Really not sure how they are such a local favorite with poor food quality and horrible...
Read moreI love going to Yoccos but this expierence was disappointing to say the least. My fiancé and I would have gone to the Emmaus location but didn’t realize until we pulled up that they closed at 3 pm so we went to the next closest location being this one. The older woman working there was RUDE. She was cleaning when we walked in and was huffing and puffing that she had to take orders and got annoyed when more people walked in. She was making comments about every single person walking in “saying really omg we close in 10 minutes” and making a big fuss about all orders needing to be take out. I’m sorry but if you walk into a place that has hours until 8 that means your open till that time regardless if the last person places an order at 7:58. A woman and two kids came in and they were messing with the cones in between the tables and she was yelling them to get off of them. Two woman behind us walked out because they were also disgusted with her attitude. I don’t know how long this woman has been working here but this is not the job for her and I will NEVER be coming back to this location because of the expierence I had with...
