I was in your establishment, SLC airport today. I got a Margherita pizza and a coke. I saw my waitess once right after getting my meal and she never checked on me again except to bring my check. I did the quick pay because I felt it would be easier and quicker than getting her back over to the table. After paying, I got up from my stool put my things in my bag, adjusted my straps on my bag, fixed my sock in my boot and tied my boot; all of which took time. Time that your waitress/manager could have checked on me. I went to leave and in front of everyone she loudly says "ma'am ma'am, do you want me to put that on your credit card?" Since I had paid I thought she was referring to the dirty dishes and that there was a fee for cleaning the table, as airport's sometimes do crazy things. I replied "what?" Because I never thought anyone would be so rude to accuse me wrongly of theft in front of a filled restaurant! "She then repeated herself and I replied "Just say what your trying to say cause I'm confused." She then asked me if I already paid the check. Which I replied I paid from the table QR code. She said OH ok. I replied with you should really ask before you go accusing someone. She tried to tell me that she had. No, That is not what she did and it was very embarrassing. Asking would have been starting off with did you use the quick pay to or do you need me to come take care of that? I eat at this establishment everytime I come to SLC, which is very often, but I will no longer...
Read moreI always wanted to try food from California Pizza Kitchen. So, when I saw this outlet so close to my departure gate, I decided to give it a go. They have a QR code using which you can place your order, which is great. When we (my wife and I) walked in, we were greeted nicely by a server. We informed her that we have placed order using the QR code. She said, "Great! Please feel free to sit anywhere you like". We chose a table close to the bar because you could see the airport outside. So far so good. But then things went downhill fast. The woman at the bar asked us what we would like to drink. We said, "Oh no no..we don't want a drink. We are sitting here for the view". At that point, we realized that the table we chose to sit at was part of the bar. She could have politely asked us to sit somewhere else. Or could have just let us sit there, considering that the restaurant and the bar area were 90% empty. But she said "If you want to sit here, you have to order something ". She was so rude that my wife thought she will follow up with "I m just kidding, please feel free to sit here". That didn't happen. We moved to a different table. Then the food arrived. It was underwhelming. But we felt it's too expensive. We were surprised at how little you get when you order Kung Pao Spaghetti with Chicken that cost $25. I guess this was my first and last time at a California...
Read moreExcellent food marred by a server going out of their way to try and ruin people's day
Imagine buying food and then seating yourself, beginning to be served, having your table cleaned, and then another server telling you because you ordered food from the wrong station (takeout line) with the same QR code, you actually need to immediately take your belongings, abandon your seat, and then return to a different line.
Then he (Edin is the servers name, bald guy) attempts to threat-flex using TSA to remove me if I won't get out of the table due to me having "attitude"
When this happens, go direct to a manager and explain the issue. Turns Edin was having a bad day and 100% trying to threat-flex the ability to use TSA to shuttle people around like cattle, then blame his attitude on others.
It was nice to make a public spectacle out of him, and I plan to do so again if I ever see him again. He doesn't belong working in an airport.
What kind of corporate policy is this by the way? It's a recipe for this exact situation.
TLDR I'm from Texas where we say howdy and treat people with respect, I saw another Texan...
