When I am traveling through the Salt Lake City International Airport and looking for a meal that feels both fresh and satisfying, Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh often catches my eye. They offer a build your own style menu, which I always appreciate for customizing my meal. I have found their food to be "decent food that is delicious." I usually opt for a bowl with falafel or grilled chicken, piling it high with fresh vegetables, hummus, and their flavorful sauces. The ingredients always taste fresh, and the combination of flavors is genuinely appealing. It is a welcome departure from typical fast food options and feels like a healthier choice when I am on the go. The pita bread is warm and soft, and the falafel is crispy on the outside and tender inside. Of course, dining at an airport means accepting that everything "comes with a bit of a price tag." Garbanzo is no exception. While the quality is good, you will certainly pay airport prices for your meal. A loaded bowl or pita can quickly add up, so be prepared for that. However, I often find the portion sizes to be quite generous, which helps justify the cost. The service is usually efficient, which is crucial in a busy airport environment. Even when there is a line, they move quickly, ensuring you can grab your food and make your flight. If you are craving fresh, flavorful Mediterranean fare and do not mind paying a bit more for the convenience and quality, Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh is a solid choice at SLC.

This is my go-to restaurant whenever I fly out of SLC. I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I actually try to show up early so that I can grab a bite to eat here (who admits that about airport food?!) I always get the falafel wrap - they absolutely stuff it full of a wide assortment of tasty Mediterranean food options - so much so, that they struggle to close the wrap. It literally bursts open with the first bite! It takes some care and a bunch of napkins, but eating this colossal yumminess is a fun treat. I usually get (and highly recommend) falafel, spicy hummus, lettuce, rice, roasted veggies, pickled onions, pickled cabbage, kalamata olives, feta, and tahini sauce in my wrap. Mmm-mmm! There is rarely a crowd here - travelers who flock to the better known American grub spots don't know what they are missing. There are usually tables available, and some are near electrical outlets for charging electronics. The pricing isn't bad either - $11 for my wrap and it's all the food you'll need. The staff is friendly and helpful, even when rushed. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed!

So we came in here right as they were getting ready to close. They had half the place blocked off and cleaned the tables the chef was cleaning the area behind the grill. WHICH I LOVE they actually clean the place which I’m not sure about other places here. Now the service was a tiny bit slow it took them maybe 3 minutes to take our order with no waiting enoug for the people being us to leave, but they are winding down for the night. They hit it out of the park!!! The food is fairly priced fresh and healthy! We got the chicken and rice platters and let me tell you the special white sauce is good but their tazhizi sauce is incredible! This is a great fast casual restaurant and I’m not saying for an airport location I am saying in general. Really happy with what they are doing here and the seating and vibe are splendid.

Fresh, interesting food that you can sit and enjoy or grab and run. Serving REAL FOOD (salad) at 9 am. Thank you. Tried this on a suggestion and so glad I did. The process isn't well marked so its a bit like Cafe Rio or Subway where they build what you request. Pick what you want to eat. Pita, Wrap or Gyro (great for grab and go airport walking and eating) OR rice bowl, salad or plate. Pick your protein. Chicken, steak, falafel, meat or portabello mushrooms for the vegetarian based eaters. Pick your toppings and fillers. Seasoned rice, Romaine lettuce, tabouleh salad, cucumber and tomato salad, red cabbage, pickled ren onion, 2 kinds of hummus, kalamata olives, AND MORE. Pick your sauce or dressings. They had TzaTziki, a greek vinaigrette, a garlic cream base, Tahini, etc. You can add feta cheese also. To round out your meal they have apples, falafel, baklava, crisps, drinks you can add on. I didn't try the mushrooms, or sides but as for the greek salad creation that I made, the ingredients were fresh, loaded with the protein I requested, the protein was seasoned and prepared well, the toppings and fillers were thoughtfully prepared and flavorful, and I am looking forward to my next layover to try the falafel and...
