Catching an early morning flight often means seeking out a reliable coffee fix, and at the Salt Lake City International Airport, Beans & Brews Coffee House is one of my go to spots. I appreciate having a local option amidst the more ubiquitous chains. I usually order a standard latte and a pastry to fuel up before boarding. The coffee is consistently good, offering a decent caffeine kick and a pleasant flavor. The pastries are fresh, though nothing particularly artisanal. My main observation, however, is that both the coffee and the pastries are "overpriced." This is a common theme across airport concessions, where the premium for convenience is always factored into the cost. Be prepared to pay a bit more than you would at an off-airport location. Despite the pricing, the service at Beans & Brews is generally "decent." The baristas work efficiently, moving through orders quickly, which is essential when you are on a tight schedule. They are usually friendly, even during busy periods. One of the biggest advantages of choosing Beans & Brews is that it is "usually less crowded than Starbucks." This can be a huge time-saver, especially during peak travel times when the lines at other coffee shops can seem endless. I have often found myself opting for Beans & Brews simply for the quicker service and more relaxed atmosphere. In summary, Beans & Brews at SLC offers a solid option for your airport coffee needs. While you will pay airport prices, you get a good cup of coffee, a quick bite, and often a much shorter wait than elsewhere in...
Read moreTwo jokesters not taking anything seriously. I observed two customers frustrated for a very long wait after they observed other orders getting served ahead of it. Then it was my turn. Please address this. It is affecting your business. Date: April 15 at 7:59- 8:09am. The Asian young man (employee) was making jokes with the other Asian female using a burrito as a cell phone next to his face (she was laughing at his jokes). Yes, he was talking over the phone-burrito. Look at the video. A second female employee commented that she would not eat that mangled burrito and then he threw it out. The same Asian young man mocked customers waiting for orders that weren’t being made and he simply threw the baggies with food (like my panini) without saying the name of the order… forcing me to ask “is this my order?”. A female employee making the drinks confirmed gently that it was indeed my order. The tall young gentleman that took my order (receipt shows host: Budhi) was indifferent and had no interest in Pushing the orders through. He also was playing along with his immature coworker.
The sad part is that my panini was actually good.
I am attaching my receipt in...
Read moreAs someone who used to be an Assistant Manager for Beans, this is the worst drink and service. I truly believe this staff needs to be retrained how to give great customer service and how to properly make drinks.
The person at the counter had her back turned towards everyone in line, talking to her coworker. I had to say “hello” for someone to notice me. I ordered a tall hazelnut oat milk latte. They up charged me for extra hazelnut for no reason. She did not steam the oatmilk properly, so it was not a “latte” rather warm oatmilk with too much hazelnut. No flavor of coffee whatsoever. Truly gross. I always look forward to coming to Utah to visit my favorite coffeehouse for a great drink and great service. This location is not a good representation of the brand. I highly suggest to try a brick and mortar location.
Idk what’s going on at the Beans inside of the airport, but this was a really bad experience that could easily be avoided with care and attention to your job & customers.
EDIT the company asked me to add more details to this review. I have nothing else to add other than you need to fire or retrain your...
